Cartoon Network has officially changed the name of the block from "Best of CN" to "Cartoon Planet" on their schedule. Also, The Powerpuff Girls episode "Meet the Beat Alls" has been switched with "Birthday Bash."

It also seems that Evil Con Carne has been pulled from the schedule for right now. Only Dexter's Laboratory, I am Weasel, Codename: Kids Next Door and Courage the Cowardly Dog will air on the 3rd week as of right now.

Ten or so years ago we called this Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. Before that, it was Cartoon Planet. Whatever this is, I know I'll enjoy it, but I fear ratings won't be that great.

Save for the fact that the packaging sells this real well, and besides, it's Friday primetime. Surely this will stay for a while, right?

Also, is anyone noticing what seems like a couple seconds cut from each cartoon? I coulda swore parts of these were a little longer...

I haven't noticed that. Only thing I noticed was that they were cropping the intros. Seriously, are they just TRYING to bribe us and then negoiate the wrong way?

They really need to stop cropping the intros. Doesn't matter if they're doing it so they can get more cash or just trying to piss us off, but that needs to stop. Spongebob never had his intro cropped, and neither has the Fairly Odd Parents. Cheapskates.
