I'm so glad to see Bugs getting the love he deserves. He may not get as much attention as Mickey Mouse or Spongebob, but he's still beloved.
I'm going to watch "A Wild Hare" today in his honor and "Rabbit of Seville" because that's my favorite. :D
Happy Birthday Bugs, may you eat as many...
On July 27, 1940, "A Wild Hare" directed by Tex Avery was shown in theaters. In it, a rabbit greets an unexpected Elmer Fudd with a "Eh, what's up doc?"
Audiences fell in love with the rabbit instantly and still do today.
Thank you Bugs for making us laugh. Have a wonderful birthday.
Funny, I posted this list on the Eva Geeks thread a while back and it got similar reactions...
Anyway I'm overall happy with the 80's and 90's male and female lists. (Lupin, Ranma, Goku, Ataru and Lum FTW!)
"Why is your homework late?! Real cartoonists turn their assignments in on time! Bob Clampett turned his stuff on time, so did Tex Avery and yours truel-...um...Well whatever, the point is you fail! Go back to Disney, you stupid Cal Arts student! I'm so going to blog about this later..."
So I was having a discussion with my friend today about classic cartoons we liked. From Tom and Jerry to Woody Woodpecker, we had fun talking about these old gems...until my friend said something I thought I would never hear.
I mentioned the Looney Tunes and how they really are, despite being...
True, there all other cartoons that use bathroom humor and I'm not forgetting those either, but as far as I can tell, the same lame "OMG HE FARTED! LOL" humor is espically notable in those two.
On a side note, comparing South Park to the crap of Dreamworks and John K is far from the true...
Or the almighty Lord Clampett.
Fun Fact: Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc disliked Bob Clampett, saying he was an "Egotist who took other people's ideas and would throw tyrants when things didn't goes his way."
Gee, who does that sound like?...
