Which cartoon era here do you remember most from growing up?

I did a similar thread before, but would like to do this one because I couldn't edit the updated pic into the other thread.

Has everything from 2007 onward sucked?!?

Meh I'm not sure it was a dark age. It was certainly the start of Early Gen Z-oriented childhood culture and Web 2.0. But to Zoomers now in their late teens, that stuff you said was bad was actually good to them since it was their childhood, and they're posting nostalgia memes for the late...

Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power and Hey Arnold! ended 15 years ago!

Funny thing is that people often said "The 90s ended in 2004". Probably not a coincidence since that was the same year Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, and Rocket Power were cancelled. In general, 2004 had a lot of changes that screamed "the 00s culture is here" and the late 90s influences were fully...

    Nickelodeon Early 2000s Nostalgia

Well, you think early 00s Nick nostalgia made you feel old? Now, another 10 years later, current teens are now nostalgic for late 00s-early 10s Nick (Big Time Rush, Victorious, iCarly) haha. How do you feel now?;) (pardon the bump, just thought this was funny/ironic)

What happened to the magic, special feeling/vibe that cartoons used to spark within me?

Op, you're just getting older. Happens to everyone. Back in 2008, I distinctly remember people on this forum and Youtube constantly ranting about how cartoons lost their spark past 2004/5 and the 90s were better, it got to the point of self-parody. Yet 2005-2014 is your favorite era of...

The Toonzone's "Battle of the Brackets" - Sweet Sixteen Voting Thread! (00's Comedy)

Powerpuff girls. Billy and mandy had some great one-liners, but to me it relied too much on booger/fart/gore/screaming humor as a crutch.

Which era of animation resonated most with your childhood?

For me I would say childhood is 5-12, but that doesn't stop people from enjoying good cartoons in high school or college post-childhood.

Which era of animation resonated most with your childhood?

Some divide up animation by plain decades, others like Stuart Snyder (old CN president) however say it's more like each 5 years is its own era. 2004 was very different from 2008 for instance; I agree with Mr. Snyder here.

    Dark Era of Cartoon Network?

Chowder is definitely Samples because it was announced back in 2006 and C.H. Greenblatt began posting production stills at that time on his blog. Flapjack is also probably Samples because its pilot was made in 2006. Proof...

2004- 2007 Era of Cartoon Network

February-June 2007 when TOM 3-era Toonami, Cartoon Theater, Fridays, Miguzi, and the City bumpers were discontinued.

2004- 2007 Era of Cartoon Network

Mixed feelings on this era. I'd 2004 and the first half of 2005 were really awesome for CN, but mid-late 2005 is when it started getting a bit mediocre as great shows like Megas XLR and Duck Dodgers dropped like flies and the seeds of rather mediocre or meh shows like Camp Lazlo and My Gym...

The 2000's Hate Really Needs To Stop

Samurai Jack premiered in 2001 and Avatar premiered in 2005. Before the dark age began.

The 2000's Hate Really Needs To Stop

When it comes to animation, 2000-2006 was great but 2006-2009 was a broken down wreck.

    Dark Era of Cartoon Network?

True, but Camp Lazlo and My Gym Partner's a Monkey came out in 2005, not 2006. So technically, they should be part of the "golden era" of CN rather than the "dark era".
