Why are Looney Tunes DVDs so hard to find nowadays outside of the Internet?

I have found every Super Stars title at my local Wal-Mart. They are very reasonably priced too. Today I picked up Pepe Le Pew for $13. If you have a Wal-Mart nearby, I would suggest searching there for these titles.

    Watch all Looney Tunes?

I have every single one of them, and have watched them all in chronological order. It took me maybe a little over a month to do it. But let me tell you, it is very hard to get started with all those Bosko's and 30's musical cartoons. Then, once you get into the 1960's, you are just wishing that...

    MGM Cartoons on DVD

Corrected discs were issued in response to complaints about the edits. Later pressings of these DVD's had the corrected discs. Unless Amazon has some really old inventory, I do believe that you would get the corrected versions if you placed an order today.

    MGM Cartoons on DVD

The censorship was not for violence but for racial stereotyping. On these DVD sets, only 4 Tom & Jerry shorts in which Mammy Two-Shoes appears actually have the original Lillian Randolph audio tracks (she was the original voice for the character in these shorts when they were made; in the 1990's...

Even more cartoons added to hulu

For more H-B shows to show up on Hulu, it would be up to Warner Bros. to put them there. Looking at their selection of cartoons, it looks like nothing owned by Warner Bros. is avilable for viewing. I can't speak for their selection of movies and live-action TV shows. If anything owned by Warner...

    Boomerang February Highlights

A Popeye marathon would be great, but I have seen all Boom has to offer too many times. It would be great to see the AAP versions once and a while (and uncut too). What was not initially mentioned was that the Johnny Bravo Valentine's Day Marathon is unofficially titled the "Johnny Bravo Love...

Why Mr. Slate is no fool

"The Flintstones" were made during an era where people did not really pay attention to continuity in television series, especially in the first few seasons as a show was in its development stages. Thus, it should be of no surprise that Bill and Joe could not immediately decide on what should be...

    European Boomerang Vs U.S.A. Boomerang?

The fact they air Looney Tunes makes them better. Also, I hear that their airings of Popeye are unedited. Not like too many Popeye shorts are edited, but the few that air edited in the USA are uncut on European showings. Also, I like the fact they use the a.a.p. versions instead of Cartoon...

    Ventriloquist Cat

Nothing to write home about, but most of these cartoons are on DVD, but as a bonus feature to a classic feature film you would usually see on TCM. They are off-the-shelf transfers, and some of them do have edits, but at least they are on DVD. However, most people, including myself would prefer...

Toon Zone Talkback - "Looney Tunes Super-Stars": Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote: Supergenius Hijinks C

From now on, I guess we should only expect the worst from Warner Bros. I fear that the next two releases will be "Daffy and Speedy" and "Cool Cat and Friends", and these certainly would be the absolute worst DVD's...ever

Christmas Specials not on DVD yet

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday whether they are getting together with family or watching all the endless classic Christmas programming that is airing on channels like Boomerang and ABC Family. Now, with all the specials that have made their way to DVD over the years...

The Most Forgettable Classic Cartoon Christmas Special

When is the last time Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TNT, TBS or any network aired Hanna-Barbera's "A Christmas Story"? To me, that special is forgettable. I know it has had a VHS release, but whenever you hear someone talk about "A Christmas Story" you usually think about a feature film with a kid...

Peanuts on ABC Family Friday November 26.

I think they mean the widescreen transfers of the first two Peanuts feature films that have been released on DVD.

Scooby Doo Is The Most Overrated Cartoon Of All Time.

When I was younger, I loved Scooby-Doo. Think back to the days when TBS and TNT aired the shows. I loved the original "Where Are You!" series, loved the 1976-1977 episodes, and mostly enjoyed the 1972 Movies series even though I thought they were hit or miss. Everything from 1978 onwards I did...
