So, is there a DVD only release?
There's certainly a DVD pictured, but seemingly no mention of it. I hope there is as I love the style consistency of the DVD spines over the Blu-rays. I also watch the DVDs more often than the Blu-rays due to combi-TVs and laptops.
I'm still annoyed that Reign...
Which is odd as it's easy enough to find an official mock-up DVD cover online that Warner produced.
Amazon UK often uses US images for their DC animated titles until a UK version is sent to them. Reign of the Superman was no exception. Title at the top of the spine, Superboy, DVD logo and DC...
Death of Superman had a DVD only version. I've no idea where it was available from as I'm in the UK and order all my DC animated movies through a market place seller on Amazon.
While I get the UK Blu-ray steelbooks where available, I still like to own the US DVDs as they look great on the...
I don't think it really matters what banner it has.
Your average consumer isn't likely to either notice or care. I've collected every DC animated movie so far, and even I don't care what it says at the top. I do like the fact that since Justice League: War they've all matched on the spine...
Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends.
I love the episodes 7 Little Superheroes, The Vengeance of Loki and Knights and Demons especially because of the additional appearances by other characters. It was also the show I saw as a child and still watch it with those child-like eyes whenever I put on...
It's not just the US, but the UK as well. The last Disney release here was Ultimate Spider-Man season 1 in 4 volumes. Before that it was Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
I'm slightly bemused that Australia gets DVD releases of Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of SMASH and Guardians...
Amazon UK currently has the Blu-ray as no. 5 best-selling in 'children and family'.
I think a lot of retailers just see the words 'superhero' and 'cartoon' and class it as kid's stuff.
The animation does look a bit jerky to me, and the backgrounds and overall detail seems a bit sparse.
I wouldn't say it looks unfinished as such, but maybe a bit cheap. Batman: Bad Blood was the same. Empty streets, light on texture and so on.
With it being the 50th anniversary this year, I have no doubt it'll be officially announced and released before too long.
I'll be amazed if Adam, Burt and Julie aren't at a convention soon with some stories and a clip or two. As much as I'm looking forward to The Killing Joke, and I love the...
You could show it here, just not make it available for download.
Basically put up a beauty shot (front and spine at an angle), or have the whole cover low res so printing would be useless.
