"The Doomies" is another series Disney announced a couple years ago, we got more news now. It's for Disney Plus.

"The Doomies" is an animated series from Andrés Fernandez, Henry Gifford and Rémi Zaarour. Co-produced by Disney Television Animation and Xilam animation.

Bobby and his best friend Romy want something strange to happen and well they get that wish. They find a musical rune that opens a portal to creatures likes ghosts and monsters.

The show's target is 9 to 11 years old. They also have the voice cast announced

• Jon Bailey as Doug
• Zehra Fazal as Jenny

I would say I'm surprised at seeing Madison Calderon in something outside of Princess Power, but then I remembered she was also in Invincible. As for this show, it definitely looks cool.

The show would have to get really good streaming numbers to get a Season 2. New kids cartoons have huge disadvantages on stream, like having to compete with established hits already there (in Disney's case, pretty much everything animated they've made up to this point).

As Peter says in his article, Disney dumping the whole thing at once instead of in chunks is a pretty blatant vote of no confidence.
