Um, I was referring to the season 1 finale duel where Judai beats him. He loses to Edo in the pro league and that leads him to the underground duels. That was the point! He knew that his earlier method towards dueling was getting him nowhere and he had to change to get back into winning.

Grimmjow's jpn voice (aside from Mayuri) is just one of those voices that it fits him so well, I can't see anybody else (besides the dub) really working for it. I never got that vibe from Ulq so, my vote goes to Grim.

There is an theme of bonds in the original story of 5D's. Bonds between the signers or the signers and their friends and/or family. But yeah, 4kids does stress it more than they need to. I think one of these could explain it better than I could, though.

Ryo's one of the more tragic characters in GX, imo. Dude's at the top of his game at Duel Academia, the Kaiser if you will. Then, after a newb like Judai comes in and beats him he winds up losing every duel he's in. Enter the underground duels where he finds that his whole philosophy of dueling...
