Batman DVD's
Ok, WB first released 3 Batman:TAS DVD's containing about 4 episodes each. I buy them all. Then, WB released a really nice box set containing about 30 episodes. I buy it and try unsuccessfully to sell my old 3 DVD's on eBay. Now I see that WB is releasing another crappy 4...
So here we are at the end of May and 3 JL maquettes have already been released (Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Superman). I have all of them and I personally think they're really nice. The Superman one I think is the nicest. What do you think?
I picked up 4 out of the 5.
JL - I picked it up because it was on sale for $13.99.
Legend Begins - This was a great DVD. Not for the extras, but just having the episodes in DVD format made it a must buy for me.
ROTJ Uncut - This was also a must buy for me. The extra features were...
Wasn't there a post like this a long time ago? Anyway, here's how it would all go down if all the fighters were in one big arena and it was a Free-For-All...
I can tell you right now, as hard as it is to say, Batman will lose. He has no super powers and can be defeated easily. Batman...
This episode I found highly enjoyable, although predictable (like many of the BB episodes). It has one of the better endings of the BB episodes. (The only endings I like better are "Heroes" & "Ascension").
Is it me or is Smallville getting very repetitive? Almost every week you have some freak show up to this little town in Kansas. And every week Clark defeats this freak-of-the-week with like one throw. The climax always lasts about 3 seconds. The good episodes are the ones without the...
Spiderman Movie
I just saw the Spiderman movie and it was excellent. You can really tell that the creators took the comic seriously, as they do when they bring Marvel superheroes to the big screen (ex. X Men, Blade). All the movies had actors/actresses that fit the role perfectly. If only DC...
All I want is for Superman to last a little longer before he gets knocked out. :\
C'mon guys, bring back the personality and strength of the S:TAS Superman!
At the end of the "making of" documentary on ROTJ, I noticed they mispelled Kevin Conroy's name. I don't know if anyone noticed this before so I'd thought I mention it.
I have an authentic Conroy and Arlene Sorkin (Harley Quinn) autograph on one of my cel's I got at a signing at the now closed WBSS. You have to watch out for preprints or secretarial. Many celebrities send out stamps of their signatures or have their secretaries sign their name; and they're...
I just got Sub Zero on DVD at K Mart for $14.99. They didn't have World's Finest and ROTJ Uncut which I still need. So I guess I'll have to keep looking for those two.
I just got back from Best Buy also. They had 10 million JL DVD's and 1 Batman:Legend Begins DVD. I picked up a JL and the Batman one. They didn't have the other 3. Oh well, I'd guess they should be arriving sometime this week.

This was an excellent episode. I know I've been hard on this show in the past, but I must admit, this episode was great. This ties with the first episode as the best so far. Brave and the Bold is a distant second on my list and War World is at the bottom.
I gave it 4 1/2 stars. This was the first really good episode, in my opinion, other than the first. I didn't give it a 5 star rating, because as usual, Superman was weak.
As one who has been a Justice League fan since JLA #1 in 1960, this show has been very disappointing to me. The problems are quite simple:
1. I can't stand the way Superman is portrayed. Ok, I can understand the way they have toned down Supe's powers since the silver-age, but Superman is...
An awful ending to an awful episode. After thinking about all the JL episodes so far and then watching the Batman episode on CN after this last episode; I've come to the conclusion that Batman:TAS is 100 times better than this show. The writers are not making good use of these characters. I...
Awful. I found this episode to be simply awful. Superman seemed like such a coward in this episode (not that that's much of a surprise) and I don't like it one bit.
I agree, Superman does seem fairly weak, and George Newborn's voice is not Superman. He sound more like a diplomat. He doesn't show the emotions Tim Daly did and basically sounds like a coward :-/
Season 1 by far is the best. It had Blight, the first BB villian, and he was killed at the end of season 1, right? Episode 13 I think. The Mr Freeze episode was great and the "Fantastic Four" episode was very good. Season 3 had its share of good episodes also, I liked the one with the 4...
(1) Joker
(2) HARDAC (if that counts)
(3) Mr Freeze (in TAS, not TNBA because the way he was portrayed in TNBA was ridiculous)
(4) Two Face
(5) Penguin
I really didn't like S:TAS too much. Especially (no offense) the episodes with Livewire. I only really enjoyed 2 episodes; In Brightest Day and A Fish Story.
I think it's a good show. Sure, there were some episodes that weren't too good (the old lady who sees the future is one); but I really enjoy the show for the most part. I think it's progressing in the right direction.
