They seem to show the same small batch of episodes, and deliberately skip a bunch. Here are the episodes that usually play:

-All six of the original Spumco episodes
-The Great Outdoors/The Cat That Laid the Golden Hairball
-Monkey See, Monkey Don't/Big Baby Scam
-Stimpy's Fan Club
-To Salve or Not to Salve/A Yard Too Far
-A Yard Too Far/Circus Midgets
-Jerry the Bellybutton Elf/Road Apples
-Magical Singing Golden Cheeses/Hard Day's Luck
-Pixie King/Aloha Hoek
-Insomniac Ren/My Shiny Friend
-Cheese Rush Days/Wiener Barons
-Superstitious Stimpy/Travelogue
-Ol' Blue Nose/Stupid Sidekick Union
-Hair of the Cat/City Hicks
-School Mates/Dinner Party
-Pen Pals/Big Flakes
-Terminal Stimpy/Reverend Jack Cheese

If you'll notice, some of these shorts are paired with shorts that they weren't originally with; for example, "A Yard Too Far" seems to take the place of "No Pants Today" (apparently that's been banned), and "Big Baby Scam" should be paired with "Dog Show" (again, banned?), not the zoo episode.

Has Nick just banned a bunch of episodes? They seem content to play the majority of the last two seasons of the show, arguably the worst. Or maybe I'm just not watching it enough and the rest are coming on at times when I'm not checking the guides. When's the last time anyone saw "Stimpy's Cartoon Show" or "A Visit to Anthony" (among many others) on NickToons?

"To Salve and to Salve Not / No Pants Today" aired Sunday, July 23 at 1:30PM on Nickelodeon.

And "Stimpy's Cartoon Show" aired Sunday, August 6 at 1:30PM also on Nick.

That's all I got.

I noticed that too. I was not much of a Ren & Stimpy fan until I watched on Nicktoons. When I bought the DVD's I was surprised on how many episodes I haven't seen.

Actually, as far back as I was watching R&S (mid 1993), Big Baby Scam was ALWAYS paired with Monkey See, Monkey Don't.

I think Dog Show is paired with Powdered Toast Man. Or rather, it has been ever seen I started watching the series.

Why would NickToons ban No Pants Today?

Did you actually watch Salve/Pants? I'm not calling you a liar or anything, but I know that sometimes online guides get things wrong, and other episodes that the guide didn't list actually air.

No, I don't remember if I watched on that day. I did get the episode title from Nick.com around that time and added it to my schedule posts. But Nick.com does screw-up episode titles all the time. Sorry I can't be a better help.

But I know 100% that I watched "Stimpy's Cartoon Show" on Aug. 6.

Eh, maybe you're right. I really can't remember that far back. All I know is, when "Salve" first aired, it was paired with "Yard", and "No Pants" was paired with "Circus". Now "Yard" is pulling double duty, it seems, as I haven't seen "No Pants" in quite a while (except on DVD, of course).

Of course, maybe I'm just using a limited perspective here. In other words, maybe I'm just missing the episodes when they air at different times of the day. I rarely check the R&S listings for daytime airings; I'm mainly going by the 11:30 PM/10:30c weekday airings, as well as the weekend night airings. They always seem to be the ones I listed in the first post. It's been a good long time since I've seen certain episodes from the series in that slot.

I've noticed that as well.

If Nick is banning some episodes then they are hypocrites because "No Pants Today" isn't nearly as "risque" as some of the ones they are showing.

The episode when Stimpy goes through puberty and becomes Superman at the end is another eppy that rarely gets shown.

Whats up with that? Looks like I will have to invest in the DVD(s) as well.

Huh? "I Was A Teenage Stimpy" airs constantly.

If Nickelodeon ever changed the pairings of R&S, then it's possible that both episiodes in which a story aired will air. They do this with Rocko's Modern Life; at one time, Nick banned "Leap Frogs" and replaced it with a second airing of "Wallaby on Wheels", but Nicktoons airs both the "Leap Frogs" and "Wallaby on Wheels" versions of that episode.
