Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Nickelodeon and DC, the film arrives from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital starting May 14, 2019, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack on June 4, 2019.

The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Combo Pack include a digital version of the film.
Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles finds Gotham City reaching new levels of danger when Shredder joins forces with Ra’s al Ghul to enact a nefarious plan – leading to the team-up of the Dark Knight and the Turtles to combat the combined might of the Foot Clan and League of Assassins!
The Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles all-star cast is led by Troy Baker (Batman: Arkham Origins, The Last of Us) as the voice of both Batman and the Joker – making Baker the first actor to ever play both roles in the same film. Opposite Baker are the Ninja Turtles themselves – Emmy Award/Golden Globe Award/SAG Award winner Darren Criss (American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Glee) as Raphael, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live) as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as Donatello, and Eric Bauza (Looney Tunes Cartoons, The Woody Woodpecker Show) as Leonardo.
Other key members of the voice cast include Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Batgirl, John DiMaggio (Adventure Time, Futurama) as Mr. Freeze, Tara Strong (Batman: The Animated Series, Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!) as Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Penguin, Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) as Bane, Cas Anvar (The Expanse) as Ra’s al Ghul, Keith Ferguson (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends) as Baxter Stockman & Two-Face, Brian George (Seinfeld) as Alfred, Ben Giroux (Hart of Dixie) as Robin, Andrew Kishino (The Lion Guard) as Shredder, and Jim Meskimen (Parks and Recreation) as Commissioner Gordon & Scarecrow.
Jake Castorena (The Death of Superman) directs Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from a script by Marly Halpern-Graser (Mad, Batman Unlimited, Be Cool, Scooby-Doo). The film is inspired by the comic book series “Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II (published by DC Comics and IDW Publishing) and is based on characters from DC and Nickelodeon. Ben Jones (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is producer. Executive producers are Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan. Sam Register and Chris Viscardi are executive producers.

Exclusive: Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meet in first animated movie crossover
http://www.syfy.com
Mod Note: Posts merged
Eric Bauza and Darren Criss voiced Leonardo and Raphael in this short, so there is a role reprisal from a TMNT project.
I wonder if Roger Craig Smith was too busy or if Troy pulling double duty was a budgetary thing?
It’s also cool seeing Batgirl in a more prominent role. I’m not too familiar with all of the voice actors announced so far (especially the ones for the Turtles, outside of Bauza), but I presume they are good choices for their roles, and the ones I do know of sound pretty great. I also find it kind of funny Robin is included in that first look photo, yet no voice actor for him is listed yet.
All in all, this looks like fun and I will check it out once it’s released.
Batman v Superman, Batman vs Robin, Batman vs Two-Face, Justice League vs Teen Titans, Justice Leave vs The Fatal Five, Teen Titans vs Teen Titans Go… you get the idea.
That aside, this is interesting. Not particulary stoked, I think this will be along the vein of ”Trapped In Time” but I will definitely check it out when its released
Wow. I know there was a poll for people who had watched Return of the Caped Crusaders asking if they would watch a Batman and TMNT movie, but I never really thought it would happen. Awesome
!
I’m kind of surprised they’re not bringing in a specific Turtles iteration to team-up with Batman, but I guess they’re not using an established version of Batman either
.
That being said, from what I’ve heard of the Turtles VA’s, they all sound like they’ll fit their respective Turtle well
.
I knew it was inevitable that Troy Baker would eventually voice both Batman and Joker in an individual project. And hey, Batman has his trunks back
.
It’s nice to see Batgirl in an animated movie again, and they’re even using the Burnside costume (not my favorite, but it looks fine here). I think Rachel Bloom will do a good job in the role
.
John DiMaggio as Mr. Freeze should be interesting
.
I liked Carlos Alazraqui as Bane in Justice League: Doom so cool to have him back
.
I don’t think Ra’s was involved with any of the comic stories, so it should be interesting to see how they work him in here
.
The art style looks nice. Reminds me of the art for the B:TAS/TMNT comic
.
Tara Strong is also playing both Harley and Poison Ivy again in an animated movie for, like, the third time (not counting DC Super Hero Girls), so either it’s a budgetary thing or just more convenient
.
Probably because "vs" has become a shorthand for team-up movies…and we will probably see Batman and the Turtles tussle at least once during the movie
.
It’s cool that Troy Baker will be voicing both Batman and Joker. Also, Batgirl wasn’t in the first comic crossover so I’m glad they added her. If they make a few changes, I’m totally cool with that.
I kind of expected to see the Turtles voiced by past voice actors. The 4Kids cast seemed to fit the tone of the book the most but I’m cool with this cast. I hope to see a few more Turtle characters like Splinter, April, and Casey.
It’s really cool that Viacom and WB agreed to make this happen. As if four DC Universe Animated Original Movies (including the first Wonder Woman animated movie in a decade) wasn’t hype enough. I love when DC has these awesome animated projects that come out of nowhere like Batman Ninja!
Plus seeing the Turtles in Injustice 2 felt like a precursor to this announcement. What a fantastic way to celebrate Batman’s 80th anniversary and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ 35th anniversary!
Shredder teams up with Ra’s and the League in the first crossover story.
While this is definitely cool, I have to admit that I’m disappointed that it looks like they went with a comedic direction for this movie, when I would’ve preferred something a little more serious. Really not digging the design for Batman neither.
I mentioned above that Eric Bauza and Darren Criss are reprising their roles as Leo and Raph from Turtles Take Time And Space .
I meant one of the four animated series, but you’re right, there are a couple voice reprisals. This should be Eric Bauza and Darren Criss’ biggest role playing Leo and Raph compared to the shorts. Of course, Eric Bauza has a continually expanding history with TMNT now that’s he’s played Tiger Claw and Splinter among other characters.
This almost feels like a continuation of the Batman Unlimited line (which only makes Roger Craig Smith’s absence more noticeable…) I think there was a mobile game or something set in that continuity where Batgirl appeared, with that same design (well, the costume anyway). It’s not much to go by, just a thought.
I would expect some of the TMNT supporting characters or at least enemies will show up. Having only Batman rogues is cool and all, but in cross-overs like these I think both sides should be represented.
Still, this is very, very cool. Last year we had Batman & Scooby-Doo, now we’re getting this. Hopefully they will keep this up for a while longer, leading to some more surprising titles.
And good points, RoyalRubble. The designs do remind me of the underrated Batman Unlimited movies.
Wow, it’s been that long
?
I think we’re going to get a mix of the two major Batman/TMNT crossovers, the comic version with the New 52 and IDW Turtles and the cartoon version with B:TAS and the 2K12 Turtles. Damian Robin was in the former while Batgirl was in the latter
.
I was kind of expecting them to bring back the 2K12 VA’s since they’re still relatively recent and would fit the style of this project
.
I am kind of glad they’re going with more standard takes on the Turtles instead of using the Rise versions
.
Wow, I forgot all about that. Makes me wonder if we’ll see Shredder at all, and I agree that I hope Splinter, Casey, and April show up as well
.
Yeah, and Batman’s got the blue and grey suit with a yellow Bat-Symbol, same as Batman Unlimited. I’m starting to wonder if Roger Craig Smith was going to be in this before something came up
.
Heck, Troy Baker is pretty much Smith’s Joker too
.
(If Lucien Dodge is voicing Robin, that’ll cinch it for me. Or maybe Yuri Lownethal?).
In before yearly Batman team-up movies become the norm
.
2. Since Eric Bauza is already in the movie as Leo, I think he could also reprise the role of Splinter from Rise Of The TMNT.
Yeah, I’m curious to see who the crew for this is, since they haven’t announced it yet
.
Well, they’d have to have a lot of red legal tape to make that a possibility.
I doubt it. TMNT is Nick not Disney and the comics are by IDW, not Marvel. So while i’m sure it could lead to more crossover movies, probably gonna stay away from something like that.
Makes sense. He also directed Scooby-Doo and Batman: The Brave and The Bold
.
Well, yeah I know that, but I’m saying that maybe someday we’ll get an animated adaptation of something like the Spider-Man/Superman or JLA/Avengers crossover comics.
(Assuming both DC and Marvel can pull the sticks out of each other’s hams)
Looks like we’re getting the first confrontation between Batman and the Turtles
.
But I’m pretty excited, it sounds like a fun movie idea.
There was actually a Justice League/Power Rangers crossover in the comics a few years ago. It’s not that far-fetched an idea
.
I think it was James Tucker on a podcast or convention round table saying "Vs" was in there part a nod to the old Universal movies I think and maybe accounting noticed the titles with "Vs" make money… it’s a trend nowadays, etc.
I wonder if rob paulsen and wes glensen is jointly voice directing this movie
WB/Nick should of made this movie before the great Andrea Romano retired however
If Romano voice-directed it, we probably would have had the 2k12 Turtle VA’s and Conroy and co. back for this
.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles And Batman Team Up in New Animated Film – That Hashtag Show

If true, we can expect some awesome action sequences

Geez, could they work the poor guy to death just a bit more?
I love that they were able to keep it secret.

Here’s a fun fact. Scott Menville voiced an expy of Donatello in that episode , only to voice Donnie himself in "Turtles Take Time And Space".
Aww. I was hoping PG but I can take PG-13 since the Michel Bay produced movies were on that raiting.
Sigh…. Less interested in this now.
Kinda surprised at this for what appears to be another kids DTV, but I guess the action must be on par with 2K3/2K12, maybe
?
Well, this seems to be based on the first Batman/TMNT team-up as opposed to the B:TAS/TMNT crossover, though I don’t know how faithful it will be to the original story and its tone.
Aw, don’t jump to conclusions, Matt. We barely know anything or seen much of the movie.
He…seems pretty old to be playing Damian, but apparently he can do a convincing kids voice, so I guess I’ll give him a shot
.
Except that won’t happen for obvious reasons. Depending how the crossover does well, they should do the Justice League Power Rangers crossover. It can be a joint venture between DC, Hasbro & Toei. (The original company where Power Rangers originated it as Super Sentai)
Hmmm. For a crossover, I think I’d rather see an adaptation of Batman vs. Predator.
"Wanna get onion rings a Red Robin?" is that a Tim Drake diss
?
It’s a reference to the Red Robin restaurant chain.
I know, I just thought since it’s Tim Drake’s modern codename and Damian hates Tim that it could be read as a diss
.

I’m guessing that means we’ll probably see a trailer soon

Animated worlds collide in exclusive 'Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' trailer

Press details with the release date and bonus material information will be released soon.
Given that its premiering at Wonder Con on March 31, I predict the respective release dates of April 23 and May 7, much like with Batman Ninja.
Official Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer Released
http://www.comingsoon.net
Debut on March 31
Looks pretty awesome
.
The designs and animation look pretty cool. It almost feels like Batman’s world in the art style of a Turtles cartoon
.
Rachel Bloom sounds..okay as Batgirl
.
The Turtles all sound great, and of course we get the fight between them and Batman. Poor Mikey
.
Looks like we’re getting the Bat-villains getting mutated like in the comic
.
I never knew how much I wanted to see Batman fight The Shredder until now
.
Only thing I can think of to warrant the rating is if the mutations looked really grotesque.
I’d guess that it’s probably a light PG-13 like Return of The Joker and not like one of DC’s other PG-13 movies.
Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Here’s hoping. Last thing this movie needs is gore for gore’s sake.
The color and trunks don’t hurt
.
Can’t say I’m entirely convinced on Baker as Bats. It sounds forced in places, but the we know how they edit these trailers.
I just thought it was interesting that his voice sounds so much like his Telltale Batman voice. I always thought that was more modulated, but I guess it was his actual voice
.
And guys, I really wouldn’t worry about the PG-13 rating. Films automatically get that rating if there are plenty of intense/prolonged action scenes. It certainly doesn’t mean the film will be gory.
"Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack ($39.99 SRP) and Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP), as well as on Digital ($19.99 HD, $14.99 SD)."
It seems that there might not be a DVD-only release.
A separate announcement is planned for the film’s DVD release. Stay tuned.
If I had to guess, it’s because of the production time of physical media: putting it on the disc, making the case, making enough copies to meet demand, and shipping it out to retailers and making sure everything was in place before giving the go ahead to sell. Compare that to digital, which is much more simplified and streamlined, where all that needs to be done essentially is providing the movie and bonus material to the online stores and making sure no one leaks it before the release date.
Perhaps Superman meets Blaziken Mask?
There’s considerably more red tape involved with that set up, with Nintendo, Game Freak, and the Pokemon Company all needing to sign off on it (at least I’m assuming as far as Nintendo and Game Freak are concerned) and The Pokemon Company have been notoriously tight fisted with the IP, even refusing to let the Pokemon amiibo be compatible with other Nintendo games outside of Smash Bros.
Edit: Getting back to the topic at hand, do we know if this is hitting the DC Universe app the same day as physical media, or are things a little murky due to Nickelodeon’s involvement?
For April I could see Grey DeLisle voicing her for a change
You’d think they would announce if she’s voicing April. It’ll probably by either Tara Strong or Rachel Bloom in an uncredited role given that they’re the primary female voice actors and most WB movies don’t credit everyone. I could see Eric Bauza voicing Splinter since he’s in the movie as Leo.
There’s certainly a DVD pictured, but seemingly no mention of it. I hope there is as I love the style consistency of the DVD spines over the Blu-rays. I also watch the DVDs more often than the Blu-rays due to combi-TVs and laptops.
I’m still annoyed that Reign of the Supermen didn’t get one in the US.
As mentioned in my previous post, there will be a DVD edition. A separate announcement for that release will be made in the near future.
Well the comic version got turned into a trilogy, so you never know
.
And Batman Unlimited got a trilogy, another non-DCU DTV movie. But the clincher here is the extra layer of legalities – getting Nick to approve. I wonder what the deal was – a one time thing or the understanding there could be more done.
And, of course, sales
.
Agreed! And if it does well, that means crossovers with other franchises will be more likely to happen! Bring on DC vs. Marvel!!
I appreciate your optimism.
But yeah, I’d love something like that, provided Disney doesn’t mandate any artificial connections to the MCU like most, if not all, of their current animated series have done.
Years ago, I’d have thought this possibility was next to none. Now, with this announcement, I’m not so sure it won’t happen!
But stranger things have happened
.
Striking Hard and Fading into the Night with the Cast & Crew of BATMAN VS. TMNT
http://www.comicsbeat.com
I assume it was probably because the Turtles in this are pretty different from their Rise counterparts, being more close to their standard portrayals
.
I can’t imagine Troy is in a rush to play both Batman and Joker in the same thing again
.
1. While WB has been doing quite a bit of advertising, Nick has mainly done so through Twitter and YouTube status posts, not exactly posting the trailer or any clips.
2. Eric Bauza’s take on Leo sounds a bit different than when he last voiced him in the Turtles Take Time And Space short . It’s probably due to the difference in tone . While the short is not as off the wall as Rise Of The TMNT, it does lean more towards comedy , hence the voice being more nerdy sounding. Since this movie, at least from the trailer, seems to be more grounded in reality, he goes with a voice that’s more along the lines of his traditional portrayal as the leader of the group.
I would so buy this.
Classic Mikey
.
Looks like the opening minutes of the movie
.
I love seeing Barbara in her civilian identity showing off her Batgirl moves, from her sixth sense to saving those scientists
.
Leo cutting up that one Foot Ninja probably means they’re robots…
I hope one of the Turtles makes a comment about that
.
Wonder if Batgirl will be in that one too…
Perhaps. Could be a Batsignal rooftop briefing scene. Always curious if Batgirl shows up on the roof with Batman and co. or keeps her distance. Turtles will probably be there if only to befuddle Gordon, heh.
A cloud seeder? I think we know what their plan is now.
That is awesome.
(You might need to refresh the page for the video to load properly).
One of Penguin’s thugs looks like the Mutant Leader from Dark Knight Returns
.
They’ve got the Turtles’ personalities down well
.
That is pretty funny.
I’ve been told just a few minutes ago that no, it will not be on the DCU service.
Well, that sucks. But at least we know for sure now.
Okay, thanks; though I expect the movie will show up on the service eventually–just not at the time of the physical release.
