What’s next for Resident Evil? Is Capcom making something new right now?
Resident Evil has been on a roll as of late with its main titles. The 7th main entry was a “return to form” for the franchise, and the recent remake of the second main title is considered one of the best games of the year. And now, Capcom is apparently working on a new title, and they want gamers who love the franchise to try it out.
A group known as the Resident Evil Ambassadors have gotten an email saying thus:
“To all Ambassadors, thank you for your patronage regarding the Resident Evil series,” Biohaze’s translation of the email read. “Today, we are letting you know that we are recruiting testers for a game that’s in development! We are interested in incorporating the feedback of all Ambassadors into our development, so please read the details below and, if you are interested in participating, click the Entry button.”
Now, obviously, this doesn’t specifically confirm that a new RE title is in the works, but it’d be odd for Capcom to be offering a look at an in-development game without it being connected to the franchise.
