I get Naruto re-running, but why move Star Wars to 5am when it's doing well? Why not just give it 3:30 and push everything else back half an hour? Makes no sense to me.

I agree with Cartoon X in pushing everything up 30. I stopped watching Clone Wars, but I feel its being cheated. Perhaps its their way of trying to strengthen the end of the block. We'll see.

I was enjoying the 1-hour InuYashas, but I can settle for 30m... 12.5 hours of all different shows, it's a sight to behold.

On the positives, look forward to Space Dandy and Shippuden

I think Naruto stays with episodes it already aired in the last year because it got some really impressive ratings and placing it in the middle could potentially boost everything between it and Shippuden and also the rerun hours. It seems like a good move.

I agree that pushing Star Wars that far down is an odd move. But I'm sure they have a reason. Maybe they believe Brotherhood will be better paired with Naruto. I do think it'd be kinda weird having Star Wars after those two. Then it does fit better with IGPX. The 4am seems to always do worse than the 5am hour so maybe that's their reason for not only pushing it behind Brotherhood. Then again, before InuYasha came on, the 5am wasn't really that impressive so it might simply be InuYasha that just does well. It seems like this would be the right order to air the shows in if they want viewers to stay tuned, but considering that Toonami is on from 11:30pm to 6am it might not be tge best idea to work it that way. Well, I like the decisions they've made so far, as they turned out well so no complaning. I watch all of Toonami anyway so seen from that perspective it's really no problem for me when it airs, but I am just one viewer.

I would too wish that InuYasha still aired for one hour because I'm watching it for the first time and one episode a week with how long it is is so little. This would be fine if I enjoyed it, but I personally think it has been dragged out way too much and wasn't that much into it to begin with. Now I will finish it November instead of June. Ratings wise it also made sense to air it for an hour and remove IGPX but I'm actually really glad they decide to please all fanbases instead of just the bigger. Respect for that.

They have made some decisions I thought was stupid but it always turn s out to be a good move (except GXP that had to be moved 2,5 hours down) so I put my full faith in them.

The only real surprising move is keeping Naruto around and restarting it but DeMarco's posts make sense so I'm not really going to comment about it. I am NOT going to bump up the talkbacks tho.

After reading his tweets, the decision to start Naruto at episode one again makes sense. I could see how it would be too expensive to keep moving forward with that series and start Shippuden. I still would have preferred them getting another new show instead, but rating-wise, it does make sense to keep Naruto around for a second run as that can boost the later hours of the block. Plus, they'll have new shows for when Soul Eater and Sword Art Online finish their runs, which will hopefully be better shows.

A full six and a half hours, starting with the world premiere of Space Dandy and featuring a different series in every slot (unless you count the two Naruto series as the same thing). Beautiful.

Never watched Clone Wars and I don't particularly care what they air on Toonami at 3:00 AM.

Seriously, I think our level of enthusiasm here should be well above the "it's ok" or "not disappointed" level. When you consider the state of anime on US television pre-Toonami revival, having a schedule this good was a pipe dream. Most of us were praying for maybe half of this! But you better enjoy it while you can, because like I said in the other thread, it can be taken away as easily as it was returned to us. Probably more easily. Jason DeMarco is our patron freaking saint, and if he were suddenly out of the picture for any reason (died, fired, got tired of reading the same stupid questions on Twitter and Tumblr), I'm not saying Toonami would necessarily disappear immediately, but it could suddenly be on borrowed time. Though it's certainly making progress, it's not yet at a level where it can sustain itself without an advocate in upper management like DeMarco. I have quite a bit less faith in Mike Lazzo or Stu Snyder to keep it going well or keep it going at all. We know full well what Snyder's whims can be like.

Yeah, I agree. While I respect what DeMarco has done for the block and he seems like a pretty nice person in general, I don't think we shouldn't have any complaints about what he and the rest of the Toonami crew decides just because a schedule like this before Toonami's revival was a pipedream. Even with everything they've done, no one should be blindly thanking them instead of speaking their minds. Plus, not everyone likes all of the shows on the new lineup anyway and just lying about it wouldn't really make sense. Calling DeMarco our patron saint also feels like way too much for me. Personally, I still would have preferred something else since I've never been into Naruto, but he did bring up a good point about the money issue. They did say that 3AM premieres were a possibility before, but it's possible that they had to use a lot of cash to get Shippuden and after how well the original series has done, I could understand why they'd want to give it another run to boost ratings for the later hours.

It's fine to question but the man has been doing this TV thing for a while now so we should probably trust his assessment of situations more than our own lack of understanding.

That doesn't mean he can't make a mistake. He's only human like the rest of us and said human thought airing Casshern Sins and Tenchi GXP was a good idea at the time.

Replaying Naruto from episode 1 is a practical thing to do if it costs less than buying another show for 3AM in the freak'n morning (if that even was an option). If you're mad about Star Wars moving, would it make you feel better if that lead to an hour of Clone Wars at 5AM? I think that's where that move is leading to so InuYasha can air earlier than 5AM. And if you're mad for InuYasha losing an episode, that may lead to airing before 5AM so I could see both moves as a potential win for each show's fan bases.

Try not to dwell on what you don't like and be thankful for what you do because 6 hours of network premieres including a world premiere is phenomenal growth for Toonami.

No need to worship DeMarco and company for doing good work when they do it and meeting a demand when they can. It's only natural to bring in more content when the viewers tune in. That said I do think we should appreciate the effort whether it's entirely our ideal or not because who else is going to such lengths to run a weekly action animation block in America right now? Much less one airing mostly uncensored Japanese series that few to no other networks besides very niche ones are willing to give the time of day. There's a line between appreciation and worship and for all they do (without getting paid still) they certainly deserve some props and don't deserve the anywhere near the amount of complaints they get daily. Thankfully they value Toonami too much to give up on it just because people on the internet nitpick their efforts on a daily basis.

It is probably accurate to say without DeMarco and company, Adult Swim would not be putting anywhere near this much effort into the Saturday night action block. It very much would have been a pipe dream. But hey not everybody likes Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, One Piece, Soul Eater, SAO InuYasha, Fullmetal, etc. and I understand that. Even that many premieres wouldn't be that appetizing if you don't like the majority of the shows. I don't really care for Bleach and Naruto myself at this point but the fact remains most of what Toonami is currently airing is vastly popular and was highly demanded so if you want to blame anyone for the choices blame fandom. I'm sure some of you already do and I am among you.

Sorry, but GITS started its current run several weeks ago. You'll have to wait about a year for this current run to end if you want to watch it from the beginning.

Naruto remains a pretty big name as Sketch mentioned, Dalek. Naruto isn't going anywhere until its brand fades.
