Dude, I nearly gave you that same rebuttal. You left yourself wide open there.

How am I "worse" for saying it? I specifically lamented the lack of non-toy commercial anime on US kids' TV.

Because you let that fact keep you from seeing Vortexx's potential. And its NOT that filled with Toy commercials. And even if it was you should know almost EVERY SINGLE ACTION SHOW AIMED AT KIDS is toy supported.

HG Revolution was still polite in pointing out the fact that the majority of the anime on the Vortexx is toy/card driven, so I don't see how it puts him in a worse light either. Most action shows aimed at kids are toy supported, but there are plenty of anime that are for kid that aren't completely driven by merchandise. Shows like that aren't likely to be put on the Vortexx, or any channel aimed at kids, because of how toy driven series are much more marketable and can have more money involved due to the merchandise. Unless it's toy driven, it's pretty unlikely that something like the Vortexx would air it. Toonami doesn't have that kind of issue because it's aimed at an older audience.

OOPS! Sorry! I guess I overreacted. Ok he's right. Its sad that toy sales do come first before actual quality. But I think Vortexx can introduce kids to anime at a young age. And they will like and demand more Japanese animation on their "TV diet". And I dont think Vortexx cares about Toy Sales THAT much. They have high quality shows like Spectacular Spiderman and Justice League Unlimited.

Both of those shows feature marketable superhero characters. Toys sales might not matter much, but marketability does and anime titles that are toy driven are easier to market to kids. And just because they're introduced the anime at a young age doesn't necessarily mean that they'll demand more as they get older.

Ok they wont demand more. But they will come to understanding and appreciating it.

EDIT;Changed my mind and will continue to state it:Love for animation HAS to be engrained at a young age, especially for anime.

Before you edited your post, you admitted to being wrong. If you're going to change your mind simply because you're upset at being wrong, I don't see how anyone can take you seriously.

I admitted it because I wanted to preserve the peace in the thread. But since you are all going to mock me anyway, I might as well do that.

So you didn't actually believe it, you just didn't want people to keep telling you that you're wrong. Way to be passive aggressive.

I dont care if you guys think Im wrong. I just wanted to be friends with everyone, but you cant be friends with everyone. That's what I realized.

This has nothing to do with being friends. It's entirely possible to be on two sides of an argument and still be friends, same thing goes if someone is wrong.

With Adult Swim unfortunately getting the 8PM hour, I wonder how it could affect Toonami. Getting the 11PM hour does seem like a possibility now that they have more time to give more reruns of FOX animated shows. The ratings have been good, especially for Space Dandy, so I could see them doing that at some point after they get the 8PM hour. At least that would be something good coming from this decision.

I feel as though that the expansion will definitely benefit Toonami in a way, if not immediately then within the year. My prediction is that if Space Dandy does well enough, they'll give Toonami a shot at 11:00 on Saturdays. My true dream is an hour long Midnight Run block on weekdays for Shippuden and One Piece, but that's only a pipe dream.

Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Pokémon Crystal was released in North America. To this day, the Johto Games remain my favorite games in the Pokémon Franchise.
Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
