Well,that sucks for me.I really did enjoyed watching Hellsing Ultimate.I am now very surprised that Toonami will not air it's two final episodes.It is now cool to see Final Act coming to Toonami now.

So Dogboy finally gets the ending we've been waiting for since 2006.
(What did they mean by TV-MA edits? The worst the original series got was a TV-14, if I recall.)

Sucks about Hellsing Ultimate, though.

They also said there won't be much new content for the rest of the year. What were you expecting?

Yes there will be.Toonami did say that there will be another month of movies.Not sure what movies they are going to air.

I like that this is finally happening! -- I just wonder though - since AoT is going to be repeats by then, why not put it at 2a and let IY:TFA lead at 11:30. That'd sure spark some ASA nostalgia.

Will be interesting also to see what they do about 2:30. They have IGPX and FLCL as far as I know as the only available shows left not already playing. They'd better not write-off any other show for a few years ~~ (or ever, if they can help it)

It's likely they will put FLCL on at 2:30 to fill time until the end of the year (considering how they weren't anticipating this removal) and then bring something new in January.

They probably want to keep Attack on Titan as their lead-in show due to its immense popularity and ratings. While I would prefer for them to start off the lineup with a new show, I can understand why they'd do that after how that marathon had some amazing ratings. Since IGPX is a Toonami original show, they might be able to hold onto the rights for a long time and hopefully they won't write off FLCL. I could see them putting in FLCL at 2:30AM since it would allow to put in a new show in January after they air their month of movies. It probably depends on if they're able to get something lined up that soon at the beginning of the year.

Move their highest-rated show down to the late hours to suffer in ratings (like what happened with Space Dandy)? No way are they letting that happen again!

Definitely an "about time" on the Inuyasha announcement, but a damn shame that they didn't get all of Hellsing Ultimate.

So apparently, FUNimation has the broadcast rights for episodes 9 and 10 for Hellsing Ultimate. I wonder what could've been the reason for the show getting pulled early then.

IMO, Final Act arriving along with Kai is perfect! DBZ was a staple of the original Toonami, and Inuyasha was a staple of pre-Toonami Adult Swim. Both could bring in nostalgia viewers!

I figured it had to do with the DVDs, and since its not exactly a hugely popular series like Attack on Titan, not many people are going to go after the show if they can view it on TV. I wish Funi had told Toonami that they wouldn't be getting all 10 in the first place though.

It's got to be upsetting and more than a bit embarrassing to promote that you be airing the entire 10 OVA episodes only to find out that wasn't the case a month later. I really hope this doesn't permanently damage the relationship between Williams Street and FUNimation. Seeing as they're the primary distributor of content for Toonami, a falling out between would be fatal to the block.

That's good to know. I didn't think that Funimation would prevent them from airing the last two episodes just because they wanted to sell the DVDs. DVD sales are clearly important, but TV exposure is quite helpful too. I guess it was some kind of miscommunication between Funimation and the Toonami crew.

Jeez! someone controlling the FUNi twitter account says they have the broadcast rights for IX & X while DeMarco insinuates it wasn't denied because of FUNi withholding the material. This smacks of the Japanese rights holders being unreasonably difficult. But if that's the case we'll probably never know 'cause FUNi will likely take the PR hit as to not hang the licencor out to dry in order to keep a good working relationship with them. Unless some other new info comes out that's what it looks like to me.
