Funny that they say the last ten episodes focus more on the six founding team members, but so far I'd disagree

Wonder Girl at least has a fun, spunky personality. People like Batgirl are just boring and wallpaper. I can't believe they made Batgirl less interesting than her comic counterpart.

Good interview, really wish S2 got that 26 episode order so that we could've gotten more characterization out of the last season. Really looking forward to what Deathstroke's agenda might be, and Sporstsmaster being the blue collar version of him is an apt comparison.

If by "plot is driven by original 6 leads" they mean "plot is driven by Blue Beetle, Miss Martian and sometimes Impulse" then I agree.

Also despite doing almost nothing and having little development I still like Wonder Girl more than most of the other newbies, she's fun at least optimistic and a bit naive like M'gann was in the first season but more spunky.

Personally I would have added ether Tim or Batgirl, not both. having so many Bat characters dilutes their individual chances to shine.

I thought I was the only one who was getting tired of so much Blue Beetle on the show. They even put three bonus episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold on the Young Justice: Season Two - Part One DVD --- and go figure, all three episodes focus on Blue Beetle!

Good point. I mean, I like this Tim and all, and I LOVE that they at least acknowledged Jason, but there was 3 Robins in probably 3 years or less. Plus Batgirl.

Sorry to disagree, but YJ was and is committed to its story, not trying to gain a fanbase. Holding the fanbase is more properly the task of the network broadcasting the show - after all, the networrk controls scheduling, not the production company. The production company's task is to make the show worth the viewer's time, and Weisman & Co. have seen to that in spades.

I'd love to see a third season of YJ (and GLTAS for that matter), and I wish there was a way financially for Weisman & Co. to take their concieved Season 3 straight to video; but I suspect that a network's (or a movie company's) financial resources are still indispensible for producing anything longer than a feature-length film (as I'm sure the costs involved are proportional to the air time). I also recall reading through this forum that Weisman had planned for a third season of YJ, but that it wasn't critical to the overall story arc that it be aired [reference needed]; and so I take that to mean that we'll see the main story lines be brought to a satisfactory conclusion in the 7 or so episodes we have yet to go...

Why is it that truly creative work so often gets kicked to the curb before it can fully manifest, while stuff that should never have been allowed off the dungheap seems to clutter up the airwaves for far longer than it should? What does it say about us as people that we put up with that situation? I hope the day will come soon when each of us really can get the shows we want to see in as full a measure as those shows deserve, but I suspect that a better economic model for developing and marketing both new and past video entertainment must emerge for that to happen...

On the subject of ratings, if we are to believe the word that CN has to pay huge licensing fees for the series I am not surprised that they're not ordering more. Those are probably a third of what they should be to justify ordering more.

No, it's still the production crew's job to make a title worthy of views' attention. CN could support the series as much as possible, but blame is to go toward the production crew, too.

Young Justice does do more than it can properly tell in its episode order. I don't necessarily think this has gone against the show with its general viewership, but it's a valid point in terms of discussing the series' quality.

Or action shows could try a quicker, more cost-effective animation production set-up. Not sure if that's possible, but it sounds like having shows that are cheaper and easier to produce, quicker to get done would help.

I mean Friendship is Magic is like all done in Flash.

If the story and production work are no-good, producing it with cheaper animation won't save it from oblivion; but if the story and stagecraft are good, it will live on and overcome its animation shortcomings. After all, there IS a reason why Shakespeare and certain Greek tragedies are still with us. But that part of crafting the story and series takes time and effort, and you get what you pay for...

CN didn’t support the series much. They did a lot of stupid moves in my opinion such as consistent schedule change. If you ask me they deserve most of the blame. Besides Young Justice got a lot of critical acclaim and everyone seemed to love it (except apparently Cartoon Network).

Your arguement is SPOT ON. Unfortunately, Sonic X is a ten year old corpse....from FoxBox to 4kidstv to Toonzai to Vortexx. Jeez. Great point, but your show cancelled you.

Static. Static Shock is the name of the show.

Only members I wish weren't around are Mal and Bumblebee. Mainly Karen though, Mal's ok.

Karen's already done a lot of growing up: she's obviously Dr. Palmer's graduate student (or very-soon-to-be-grad-student) and research assistant and has a very bright future ahead of her as a resercher, even if she decides to turn in her hero duds. Mal, on the other hand, is still finding his way, despite being a part of the Team's support staff and in on many of the secrets they keep there. We hope, but we don't know, if he is going to college in Ivy Town or what major he might have, but it is clear that one of the reasons he is where he is is because he loves Karen. He is having a hard time because the demands on a graduate student / research assistant leave little time for social life (I know because I saw it happen myself when I was in graduate school, and I consciously avoided trying to have a serious relationship before finishing my thesis - I saw too many of my fellows' relationships run aground during the research and thesis-writing process because they had no time for their sig-others/spouses), and it feels like she is slipping away from him. He is a good man who cares and willing to put his life on the line for his friends, and I hope he and Karen can keep their bond, assuming she wants to, too.

Again, this only emphasizes again the creative quality that has gone into this show, and I am sad that there may not be a third 'book' in this trilogy...
