I bought the European dvd off of eBay a few months ago. Loved every minute of it, I had to say. However, the ending was rather weak when compared with the rest of the film.

Sounds promising, but I'm sort of disappointed that it's premiere is being pushed ahead.

The only live-action production from CN that I was actually anticipating, and now it's cancelled. Of course, this does mean that other live-action film projects from CN are cancelled, but unfortunately, the same could happen with the animated film projects from CN.

Basically, the toyetic animes shown in the US (Pokemon, Bakuman, Yu-Gi-Oh 5D, etc...) are all pretty bad.

I defnitely agree. In the ads for the episode, "Enchanted Tiki Dreams" that aired a while ago, there was a scene in the ad, in which Patrick accidentally destroyed the paradise he and Spongebob built for Squidward, then it cut to Squidward sobbing. I thought that scene would appear somewhere...

I didn't start watching CN regularly until a few years ago, so I only have memories of the Fridays block used from 2003(?) to very recently.

Lame. Even for a half-hour episode, it went by really quick. The ads made it look like the most epic Spongebob special of all time, while the actual thing mainly consisted of Neptune crying and Mr. Krabs whining about the party being ruined.

It's about time! In fact, think of all the other possibilities CN could explore with this "Hall of Fame" concept! Unfortunately, many of the more obscure Cartoon Cartoons (Sheep in the Big City, Robot Jones, etc...) probably won't be getting a DVD release, but there's always a small chance...

I thought it was piss. And yes, I do think that scene counts as a BLAM, because the film would've been just fine without it.

Oh, if only he could see into the future, he would probably refuse the offer immediately; in a very loud voice, too.
