The News Team's "Leviathan" has a new review up on the front page of AnimeSuperhero.com:
"After seeing the classics of Disney, Warner Bros., MGM, and Walter Lantz get their dues with splendidly restored cartoon collections, the new label Cartoon Logic delivers a fine sophomore effort by extending deluxe treatment to the cartoons of Famous Studios, often neglected in animation history.
Famous Studios was the result of a hostile takeover of Fleischer Studios, the studio that introduced Betty Boop, Popeye, and Superman to the screen, by their distributors Paramount Pictures. Famous Studios would develop a stable of stars of their own by adapting Little Lulu and introducing the likes of Casper the Friendly Ghost, Baby Huey, Herman and Katnip, Little Audrey, and Buzzy the Crow to the world. The disc serves as an all-star sampler of Famous Studios’ best work. All the aforementioned characters get some representation on the set."
