"Batman: Knightfall (Animated Multi-Film Event)" Pre-Release News & Discussion (Spoilers)

Coming to 4K UHD & Blu-ray via Warner Bros on 9/8, apparently. Reeeally want to see that first look at the animation.
Wow, if true, I was not expected so late in the year. Guess we're not getting part 2 until spring-ish 2027.

Noticed something in this Hollywood Reporter article.
Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall, from director Jeff Wamester, the first entry in a new series of digital-first animated features from Warner Bros. Animation, screening on June 23

If accurate the Digital first release could be earlier than the reported Blu-Ray date.

Also, the BBFC page for Part 1 is up. Rated "15". If you click on More Info in the Content Advice section, there are some spoilers listed. Also lists Lewton Majesie - and only her - as part of the cast.

Interesting to note "a new series of digital-first animated features" - promising more, possibly more than just even the Knightfall films :).

If you were to give a basic Knightfall description, that would be it ;).

Hmm...0 sex but still including sexual violence/threat...I wonder if that pertains to Bane's backstory? Or Poison Ivy ?

"A character uses bladed weapons to slash and stab enemies, severing limbs and slicing through a person's head."

Some weird marketing gibberish with Knightfall. When it first got announced, instead of straight up saying it's 3 parts, the press release called it "a multi-part animated event." "Digital-first" seems like more jargon than some new initiative. The majority of these DTVs release on digital before physical disc anyway.

I wonder if the cast information came from IMDb rather than an official source. It might be telling that Majesie is the only alleged cast member named.

Available to pre-order on Amazon.

I was expecting something good but my jaw is on the floor.

Absolutely beautiful animation.

Art from the first actual teaser poster, along with the three above images in 1080p, can be found right here:

These stills are giving me Japanese studio worked on a DC DTV vibes. Looks like Madhouse's style even. They did the Deadshot segment of the Gotham Knight DTV way back when.

There is no article (yet) on the homepage. And the Search function on the World's Finest site does not seem to be working.

No article has been posted yet (and won't be until official details are released) and I'll inform the IT folks about the search issues. Thanks!

Definitely wasn't expecting such a strong, stylized, look! It's like the 90's era of Batman brought together in an art style :D!

I do want to see how these designs look in motion before I make any final decisions how I feel about them :).

But Bane is big !

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s
