Favorite Popeye director?

Figured I'd try this like with the Looney Tunes characters with more than one director. And going by the head animator director rather than credited director here.

Among the following directors, who was the best Popeye director and why between:

• Seymour Kneitel
• Willard Bowsky
• Dave Tendlar
• Graham Place
• Tom Johnson
• Al Eugster
• Jim Tyer

Only included those who did more than 5 shorts as director. And feel free to mention how others fared too.

Your missing Bill Tytla and Shamus Cullhane

I was only doing the ones who did 5 or more shorts to streamline things. Shamus only did one Popeye short with Popeye Meets William Tell. And Bill Tytla wasn't a director in the traditional sense, he was more akin to a supervising producer with the real directors being the head animator.
