  • Things I watched today to be in the Easter mood.

Just in time to see "Hop" for the second time overall, as the film turned 15 this month.
It's Easter Eve for me today and I already started to watch related films and specials.

The day before Easter I always start with a more religious in tone feature, as basically this is how Orthodoxes should feel at this time

Now that Looney Tunes: Collector's Vault Volume 2 has finally been released, we can safely say that all of the animated shorts where Daffy is the solo star have all been restored and are available in logo-less form!!!!!!!!

A true milestone for my boi indeed

    YOUR FAVOURITE DUCK IS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not the character himself, but the backdrop behind him here looks quite a lot like an-AI concept. Flying bathtubs.

Since yesterday, Boomerang USA has brought back The New Yogi Bear Show (1988), showing it in a new restored form, which probably they "leaked" before MeTV Toons would start airing. Yep, they went ahead of MeTV Toons with the premiere of another HD transfer of a Hanna-Barbera toon.
(to be thanked is "Techatax" from YouTube for recording the airing of yesterday)

However, the intro and credits are still "unrestored", as despite the animations and the reused clips (mostly from "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear") are all hand-drawn, they were still edited digitally.

I have to thank one of my random YouTube video commenters for alerting me that this show got a new restoration not available until now.

"The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie" was awesome. I highly recommend everyone to see it. It will be worth it.
    T-t-t-t-today, 90 years a-a-a-a-a-go, P-p-p-po-po-porky Pig made it's de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-first appearance on the b-b-b-b-b-b-big screens on se-se-se-se-se-2nd of March, 1935! In the the-the-the-the-animated short "I Have-have-have-have-have-haven't Got a Hat"

For this occasion, right on his birthday, I found the right time to go and watch "The Day The Earth Blew Up" in theaters later on today!!!
Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man made me realise that this animated genre isn't something on my "usual taste", that I should check more. It had a lot of life lessons hidden under slice-of-life comedy combined with action.

Has anyone here ever taken a tour of the Cartoon Network Studios building in Burbank, CA before it closed? I really wish I could have :(
To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s
