The Kuzuryusen actually. The Amekakeru Ryu no Hirameki was a beyond god-like speed sword draw.
And now that I got that out of my system, I'll go back to my lurking.
I'm assuming this was made by the same people who made Gurren Lagann, which means ugly visual style: Strike one. Ridiculous amounts of unnecessary fanservice: Strike two. Over-the-top action that induces massive rolling of the eyes: Strike three. I think I'm pretty much done with this show...
The time slot can't be a reason when the shows behind it are getting better ratings than it does, meaning the shows behind it aren't too late for people to stay up to watch. It looks to me like people just don't like it
The openings are much better than the endings, in my opinion. If it's a choice to air one or the other, I'd prefer they aired the whole opening, especially with the japanese credits on the ending. I thought the reason they had to show at least a partial ending was to give credit to the makers...
It was pretty much what I expected from the creator of Bebop and Champloo, which is to say it wasn't very interesting. There were a couple funny bits, so there's that , I guess.
Small correction. The drop from Soul Eater to Sword Art Online was not bigger than the drop from Naruto to One Piece, nor the drop from Bleach to Naruto. Just so you know.
Come on, guys. You know that if one person doesn't like a show then that means that nobody likes(or can like) the show. After all, everybody has the same likes and dislikes when it comes to entertainment, and anybody who disagrees with another person in regards to the quality of a show simply...
It seems you read something I didn't write. I never said anything about watching shows you don't like nor that you should support all the shows, or even any of the shows for that matter. After all, if you're not a Nielsen household you don't count so it's not like it would make any difference...
It's pretty sad that some of you are actually hoping for SAO to fail, going so far as to predict the exact episode when viewers will stop watching. So much for hoping for Toonami to get better ratings and possibly expand, huh, or does that only apply if the shows on it are ones you personally...
Considering her parents got divorced because of Spirit's cheating and womanizing, I can completely understand Maka's irritation towards him. I never had to go through it, but I imagine no kid wants to have their parents get divorced, and when the cause of it is a cheating father who is...
You shouldn't make assumptions about stuff you haven't seen. "Years of medical studies and experience" is exactly what Chopper had. Just because it wasn't in some college doesn't make it any less legitimate.
Ahhh, attacking my fandom, how cute. I usually only have to deal with that from sub-elitists, not other Slayers fans, but oh well. Now this may be a shocker to you, but I also have the 8 volumes that were released and just got through re-reading the two that dealt with Copy Rezo and Zanaffar...
I shouldn't say replace, that's the wrong word. It was more that they acted like the second half of the first season never happened, and I found that disrespectful to the series as a whole. It irritated me a great deal and I'll just leave it at that.
I don't hate TRY, I thought it was pretty good for what it was, just not on the level of the first season or NEXT, and I'd take it over (R)evolution any day.
As for what I said before, it wasn't just Gourry who acted like he'd never heard of Zanaffar before(that would be expected) but...
The reason I said they pretended the second half of the first season never existed is because Zanaffar is pretty much the primary focus of those episodes, and (R)evolution re-introduced it and had the whole crew acting like they'd never heard of the thing before, which means the writers of...
Yeah, I'm probably a little harsher on (R)evolution than others, if only because I was really looking forward to some new Slayers after so many years and was really disappointed in what it turned out to be like. Anyway, (R)evolution probably would be a series that people unfamiliar with Slayers...
I'm with you on them airing Slayers, I'm not with you on them airing (R)evolution. It might have better looking animation, but in terms of everything else it was a drastic step downward, like falling through the floor downward. I don't know that I've ever been so disappointed in a series as I...
Wow. I don't think I heard a single bleep during that episode, and contrary to what some might believe, it didn't lose a thing because of it. You know, if the rest of the series would've been like this then I probably would have bought it when it came out, but that's certainly not happening...
I care, or at the very least I'm always interested in how shows are doing by seeing some specific numbers, rather than that other stuff I can't any make sense out of.
Looks like Saturday had a strong night, and though I've begun to lose interest in Bleach, it doesn't look like anybody else has.
Thanks for the answers FUNiOP. And for the record, I don't care about a show being PG-friendly, I just asked about one, singular thing, because that's all I'm curious about.
Simple question. Are there any f-bombs in these 17+ rated shows:
Chrome Shelled Regios
El Cazador de la Bruja
Ga-Rei-Zero
If someone could help me out here I'd appreciate it.
edit: answered: Corpse Princess, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Welcome to the NHK
I'm curious why some of you guys seem to think the AS audience knows what's coming up in the anime episodes. I seriously doubt many of the Neilson families stole the show ahead of time and know when to tune in and when to skip supposed bad episodes. They're not hardcore anime watchers, they're...
Nothing like that was ever said, let alone confirmed. Going by all the hints and things said in commentaries and such, we'll be getting more episodes from Funi, just be patient.
I'm not one of the people who think the manga was better than the anime, I'd call it about even at best. Now, I saw the anime first so that may color my judgement a little, but I bought the manga because I was swayed by people who claimed the ending was superior to the anime, so I had high...
I haven't seen it and it hasn't spoiled anything for me. I'm still in the dark as to what significance the change has to the story, or if it has any significance at all.
Exactly.
I think some of you are confusing spoiler with teaser. What's shown in the op and ed is a teaser. There is no reveal as to why it happens, when it happens, or what good it does when it happens, all it shows is that it happens. This is the first time I've seen these episodes and the op and ed...
Yeah, I saw that, which is kind of funny since it was the first time I watched Jeopardy in years. I found it curious that the clue for Childrens Hospital was the only one that didn't have a clip of the show going while the answer was read, though I don't think that would've helped the...
Speaking of Gantz, are all these re-releases still keeping the 2 episodes on a disk format, or has it changed at some point(perhaps with Funi's release)? I've been wanting to replace my dvds with some that actually have a normal amount of episodes on a disk, but I haven't found an answer to...
How about this for a question, perhaps the only question that really matters(at least as far as the dubbing companies are concerned.) Does adding swearing affect DVD sales one way or the other? Now, I'm not talking about the lesser swear words, I'm talking about the s-bomb, and more...
Ack! I knew it, Kekkashi's a major bomb. Nobody wants to watch it, nobody's going to watch it(ever), and it should immediately be banished to the 5:30 timeslot to rot away far from the other shows so it doesn't bring their ratings down with it.
(For those who have a hard time hearing the tone...
Wow, a show from Nozomi that's actually got a dub, what a shock, granted it's a pre-existing one so it doesn't really count as theirs. Regardless, it seems like my type of show so it's already been pre-ordered.
You are remembering correctly. The last few weeks of the first half is where we saw the 600-700k ratings, then FMA took a break and never regained those kind of numbers again, in what I think is perhaps the biggest scheduling screw up in AS history. I understand giving it a break if the...
