MeTV Toons - Network TALKBACK & Discussion Thread

As of today, it is now listed on the schedule for December 1st at 4:30 PM ET on the metvtoons.com schedule as well. I think this is great news. I'm excited about it!

MeTV Toons - Network TALKBACK & Discussion Thread

I cannot wait for this channel to premiere and am so excited. I honestly haven't seen many of these shows before, but I can't think of a better steward of these shows than Me TV. For my money, I can't think of a better group (Weigel) to make this channel. They do an amazing job on MeTV with how...

MeTV Launching Toon in with Me

I feel like they get better with every episode! I'm really enjoying it! And then I'm also enjoying the Saturday Morning Block too! I've discovered so many shorts that I otherwise would have never seen, but that I now love. I'm really surprised! It's also great with Bill and Toony and the cast...

    The Jetsons Coming to MeTV

Honestly, when looking at some of the Cartoon Network schedules recently, MeTV might be able to have more of a variety of cartoons on their schedule in just a few hours over the weekend than CN does through an entire week. CN aired 6 shows this week? By the end of the month MeTV will be airing...

    The Jetsons Coming to MeTV

This is great news! I've been enjoying all of the cartoons MeTV has been running and I'm sure this will be another great addition. I wonder if this is because The Flintstones are successful so far. Airing once a week is great for the jetsons since they are a 24 episode show too. I've never...

MeTV Launching Toon in with Me

I've been loving the show so far. It's pretty much exactly what I hoped it would be. Still working on fully appreciating the hosted segments like Dan's Revenge talked about above, but I appreciate all the effort going into this and I'm pretty confident those segments will keep getting better as...

MeTV Launching Toon in with Me

Just out of curiosity, does anyone think they should have found a way to pair up The Flintstones with their new animated shorts on Saturday morning? Or is it better to have everything spaced out with the shorts on Saturday and The Flintstones on Sunday?

CBS...to consider airing Nick shows on 2022/2023?

I would love for this to happen and I think it would help CBS in the long term, but I'm not sure how they could make it work. Right now they have CBS Dream Team from Litton for 3 hours to fulfill the E/I quota. If the E/I rule stays, they can't really get rid of the Litton stuff. Saturday...

Viacom launching Nick and NickJr Channels on PlutoTV on May 1st

This has been a lot of fun to watch. It's been awhile since I've seen the 2003 TMNT (I remember loving the show, but forgot how good it is) and I never got the chance to see the 2012 show. So its been nice that they switch between the two every few hours! I hope this channel lasts for awhile...

FCC Set to Propose Easing of Children’s Television Rules

Thanks for explaining that! Do you think there is any chance this benefits kids television?

FCC Set to Propose Easing of Children’s Television Rules

It doesn't look like the changes are all that substantial or create an environment that would lead to more children's programming. It creates a little flexibility for the stations, but thats about it unless I'm missing something.

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I like how the block is improving. In the past, blocks like Toonzai and Vortexx have fizzled pretty quickly as time goes on, but KidsClick seems to be trying to get better and trying new things. It would've been easy to have a boring schedule and air the same shows every day of the week, but...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

Yeah, you make a lot of great points and I agree with all of this, especially how there are almost no shows to choose from to make a channel. The nice thing about a channel is that you could potentially get picked up by a cable provider and have a second form of income through them, making it...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

That's interesting. Do you think that's likely? I could almost see that happening. I mean, TBD's programming isn't all that original and KidsClick does seem like a better fit for a channel for Sinclair than a block. Especially because it's almost impossible to air the block at a consistent time...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I think you're right about Yu-Gi-Oh!. And I think it's more likely that Sonic X comes in seeing as they promoted it when the block started and as you said, it has aired on various blocks in the past run by 4kids. I kinda hope it replaces Angry Birds on weekdays, since Angry Birds would still...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I've never seen Dinosaur King, but I think it's cool that the weekday schedule has such a variety of different types of shows. If I had to guess, I'd say...Sonic X? A surprise would be Kirby: Right Back at Ya! or one of the Yu-gi-Oh!'s - at least, I think those were dubbed by 4kids, but I...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

Animaniacs (2020) News & Discussion Thread

This is cool, but I wonder why they chose Hulu instead of the Boomerang streaming service that they set up or Cartoon Network even. Maybe Hulu could afford a bigger budget for a higher production quality?

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

It looks like the weekend schedule change might be permanent They just posted this: But they also said that new shows will be coming in the new year here: I don't know if those shows would be coming sooner rather than later. I do think that's an encouraging sign for the block though! And...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I think its a really good schedule! They're very creative with the types of shows they get. The Hot Wheels Two-Parters are an inventive way to split the movies and air them! They did a similar move when they combined the Angry Birds shorts into a full show, I think. Pairing Winx Club with...

What Cartoons would you like to see on KidsClick?

G.I. Joe: Renegades would be a good fit with either RoboCop: Alpha Commando or Max Steel. It would also work well with Transformers: Prime if that's brought in.

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I checked ThisTV for a second and I saw that Max Steel had replaced Super 4. So I think the same issues were happening over there. This is rough. I didn't realize it was so complicated to put together a block like this. Frankly, everyone else makes broadcasting shows in the correct time slot...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

Watching the block today, I think I'm more okay with the bumpers and promos. I don't know if they got better or I was just more awake today. I agree with others tho, lots of rookie mistakes. Like accidentally repeating the last segments from shows. Haha you're right about Scary Larry. But to...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I thought that that was an interesting debut for the block. When I was watching on ThisTV, they accidentally repeated the last Pink Panther and Pals short - A Pink and Stormy Night. So the second Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures started late and didn't have time to finish the episode before...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

On twitter, I saw that NickandMore (I'm sure others picked up on this too, I just saw it there) noted that on the schedule Max Steel and Rocket Monkeys will both be starting with season 2. Disney XD and Nickelodeon didn't air those episodes. That would mean that Max Steel, Rocket Monkeys, Super...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

Cool! Also, in the schedule from that website that you linked to, Sonic X has been replaced by RoboCop Alpha Commando on weekdays and by Super 4 on weekends. So they're not airing Sonic X at all right now.
  32. Sunnydee

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

Looks like there's a schedule change. Sonic X is out and Super 4 is in on weekends. From the KidsClick Facebook Page Personally, I think this improves the schedule a lot! And this means they've got two new series premiering on weekends, which is cool!

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

That was a great post and I agree with a lot of it. I thought this quote was one of the more interesting points. Vortexx pretty much fell apart shortly after it started, it felt like. Which might be important because a person from that block is running this block. I think Vortexx did a good job...
  34. Sunnydee

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

That's interesting. So It looks like they got someone that's had a lot of experience with these broadcast blocks to run it and pick the shows and set the lineup (which might explain Sonic X returning). Speaking of previous blocks, I feel like their strategy differs from Vortexx's strategy which...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

It's cool that they are aiming it at parents and grandparents who watch the local news in some of these markets. It looks like that's how they will pull kids away from CN and Nick, by telling adults where to change the channel to. That's not really a marketing strategy anyone else could use. I...

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

Good point! So if I had to guess, I'd go with: 7:00 - RoboCop: The Animated Series 7:30 - Max Steel 8:00 - Rocket Monkeys 8:30 - Pink Panther and Pals 9:00 - Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir 9:30 - Zak Storm: Space Pirate That's just my guess though.

Sinclair To Launch 'KidsClick' Multiplatform Programming Block For Children

I think that would be a weekend show. Great article! I think the Angry Birds and Transformers fun are the short-form shows that were previously mentioned. Angry Birds Toons and Transformers: Cyber Missions, maybe. That website is nice too! And it features all the shows in the previous article...
