2/22: The gag of them looking at the corner of at the FOX logo.
So what con is Gwen playing now... she pregnant.
Some choice Jeff gags like the rat only made him steal a car or him crying when the "balloon" popped.
Wow, Debbie is back, too.
Bullock's multiple swimsuits, one under the other, was hilarious.
Sub-huddle but was funny, timely enough joke with Stan coughing and telling Steve he has covid.
Poop in the pool. Funny they replayed the Stan pooping the pool episode the other night.
"...and tip the taco guy!"
Ha, they referenced Buckle's party.
"I haven't had a bowel movement outside of my house in 15 years."
"Old man, maybe you forgot" then Bullock pondering.
omg they walked in shooting their Glocks.
Jeff and the ants. lmao. And they had a taco guy, too.
Is discussion of this show moving back to the Fox thread?
Ooh. I'll double check with the other mods but for now, posting here is fine.
edit: All good to post here.
3/15: "That porno with a guy who looks like a fatter Tuttle." lmao.
I knew as soon as Stan was bicyling towards the ramp.
Klaus looking for his own Klaus but he just wants to be a miserable human, then Klaus panics and turns his Klaus' co-workers into snails, too, then gives up and ditches them. lol.
Ha, Stan can really back that thang up. lol.
And naturally it's Stan's CIA murder training that kicks in.
One quibble was Steve talking about Stan’s instincts…then throwing the remote at him. Stan catches is using his reflexes, not his instincts!
4/14: Terrible airing schedule. Next one is in two weeks.
I never believed Mertz changed for the better and he was going to regress somehow i.e. Steve would bait him with Billy but the reveal being a new technique of longform bullying was a surprise. Steve falling victim to his pent up rage only helped Mertz. Wow. Well, I guess at least Steve didn't turn into a witch or Joker again after being ostracized further. Though in this Future, he's anti-robot. Compared to the Future Steve from "No Weddings and a Funeral" what a shift...
Dark Finding Nemo reference at the end. Was wondering if they'd get back to Klaus.
Only nitpick is it was bit of a rinse and repeat from the first season where Barry got the royal treatment from the Smiths over Steve.
4/27: I thought this week was a really great one. Classic American Dad treasure hunt episode sort of like the peanut conspiracy one but this time Steve is with Bah Bah and Francine looking for a lost Chinese treasure. Pretty cool Bah Bah got a meaty focus and we learn more about him (maybe a bit too much) and that he and Francine loved spending time with each other but things got strained once she lost interest in the treasure. Lot of funny awkward Steve stuff like when he "slid wrong," kept having to pee, "pee hands" etc.
And the formerly one-off character Vic Mancuso from "Yule. Tide. Repeat." returns and turns out to be a bad guy. But just when you think he dies a stupid death, he gets away with a chunk of the treasure.
B-plot of Roger's review antics was a waste of time and unfortunately the weak point of an otherwise fun watch.
5/4: Grim Reaper having an even better hat was a great o.s. gag as was Stan's interaction with him at the end.
Enjoyed everyone else going crazy about cooking dinner and only Jeff was the sane, rational one left.
5/10: Didn't expect a Del "sequel" but this turned out to be one of the best this season so far. Loved the typical Klaus-gets-neurotic turn and he actually grows to love Del and wants him to be his step-dad but doesn't think to become brothers with Snot, just opts to kill him at the canyon. Also nice to see Snot get a win every now and then, in this case punting Klaus off the cliff. Lot of laughs in this one like "after-market." Plus some Klaus backstory, lost his dad young because of The Gap. American Dad sure has an... opinion about that company, lol.
I've seen enough American Dad to appreciate when supporting cast pop up like the judge who is a terrible judge or the return of one of Roger's personas, in this case Marmalade from that one Francine episode. Always some terrible outcome for Hayley, sucks she lost her dream business. But the ending was pretty much why I'd never go into a cat cafe.
Only nitpick I guess is very little Stan and Francine this and last week.
5/17: Really good Jeff episode. Always did like the flash forwards, and nice to see Jeff became a successful winemaker. Despite who Bing was, it was nice to see someone mentor Jeff about life.
Didn't expect this would follow up on Tuttle being in the witness protection program and Bing was his failed assassin. Always dig the follow ups, which they seem to be following up Show's been on long enough, they can reap the dividends of past stories.
Bing's running commentary about Roger was hilarious. And wow, Jeff solved the problem. Saved Tuttle's life but at the expense of Bing's. Heh, almost emptied every gun. And it all goes full circle back to that dangerous space between toilet and tub, lol. And Roger got what we wanted, someone used the bang shack, lol.
6/21: Two episodes this week.
Ah, the 'ol Steve gets embroiled in school stuff and Lewis undergoes a temporary reform. Lot of funny zingers throughout. The kids teaming up to solve the problem and overcoming their own issues. Roger acknowledging he can't be everybody in town. Stan being distracted with getting the balanced ratio, ending in defeat, lol. Funny timing, a mech this weekend when they were on My Adventures With Superman then Dan Da Dan on Toonami, too.
Funny we got Francine getting obsessed with a singer this time rather than Stan + she's obsessed with destroying another celebrity after an accident that happens in the cold open. Ha, of course Roger would be in Vegas. lol, the rimshot. Talking it through with Wayne Newton on stage, ha ha, then he helped Stan get to the penthouse! Nice twist Dr. Fay also got obsessed with John and John really was talking to Francine on his channel because he was the one would couldn't stop thinking about her. Stan and Francine really are quite the pair. lmao, the others took up Steve on the arboretum but...
