I saw it in stores yesterday -- along with the JL Superman/Luthor two-pack! -- yet I felt no great compulsion to buy them. I'm fed up with both Hasbro and Mattel, and I'm not going to give them more money to string us along like this. Mattel's handling of the JL/Batman license may work from a sales standpoint, but it's a slap in the face to the fans who have stuck by the toy line for over ten years now. From now on I'm saving my money for DC Direct's maquette line, though I may reconsider once Toy Fair 2005 comes around (will they really switch over to JLU, or just add a Green Arrow figure to the line-up and call it a day?).

Well I like the looks of it, but I don't know that I'm going to get it. Like Michael Crawford said, "you're spending $20 for a new Penguin" and I just don't think I'm real keen on that. I don't feel the need for another animated Batman, Nightwing and Batgirl.

It'll work as avatar for a little while though.

I went to Toys R Us the other day and was very happy to see the new Penguin figure. However, when I got a good look at him, I wasnt too happy with his design. He's too tall and looks too intelligent and yet distant (I know its weird saying that about an action figure). I wish Hasbro took more considering a made a better design of the figure before making him.

True, true. I can still remember Timm original TNBA design for him (from Batman: Animated), and he was a short, curved, almost slender little snot with two hanging coat-tails. Here, he's still a snot, but he looks like an old man instead of a vertically challenged guy in his prime. Too bulky, not sleek enough. With Catwoman, they gave her all sorts of (anatomy-defying) angles and curves. If you put her next to Pengy, he's going to look wierd!

why couldnt they just freaking give us the right batgirl already?? is it really so much to ask?

i would totally buy this pack if she was the right colors, but i too dont know if im gonna drop 20 bucks for a mediocre penguin figure. i have the original btas one anyway, which is an awesome action figure, imo.

my little brother does alot of customizing, and thinks i should just paint batgirl the right colors. but i dont know, its not the same, you know. its not the official toy and stuff. bah!
