Snarky remarks from older ninja irritate Boruto, whose mood sours even further during his birthday party when word comes that his father cannot attend; Team 7 heads to a neighboring area where a gang of thieves reported a monster attack.

Even though Naruto Shippuden ended in Japan, the Manga and the English Dub version. Please refrain from spoilers past Naruto Shippuden and Episode 52 on this talkback. Also this episode debuts a new opening and a new ending.

Note: This is the last episode of the English dub to premiere on television for the foreseeable future, as Adult Swim replaces the anime with the English dub premiere of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind on October 27th on Toonami. Jason DeMarco confirmed on Twitter that they intend to bring back Boruto: Naruto Next Generations at a later date.

Ya know, this is actually feeling a bit like deja vu.

The way that this episode of Boruto would mark the last episode on Adult Swim's Toonami Block for a while with a new opening and ending theme is exactly like waaaay back when Adult Swim had Bleach premiere until episode 52 when it was replaced by Death Note for a while. Episode 52 of Bleach was also when it had its new opening and ending theme and Death Note and JoJo Golden Wind practically had the same number of episodes. Not to mention all of these shows are licensed by Viz Media.

Konohamaru: "You didn't go through the 4th Great Ninja War."

I mean, to play devil's advocate, you didn't either. You just stayed in the Hidden Leaf village during the 4th Great Ninja war.

Boruto: "What, he's his rival?"

Boy, you got 750 episodes worth of story to catch-up to.

So it ends with Boruto acknowledging he's not strong enough.

And a teaser of Sasuke walking into the lion's den it seems.

Perhaps they will bring back Boruto after the end of Jo jo
