How many Canadian Cartoon's is going to be on CN In the future. Don't get me wrong I love Canadian Cartoons but at this rate in a few years I don't think it would make a difference if the "C" in CN stands for Cartoons or Canada.
Look
1. Bakugan (Canadian dubbed)
2. Johnny Test (this is a big one)
3. Total Drama Island
4. Total Drama Action
5. 6teen
7. Stoked
8. L.O.S.E.
9. Ed Edd'n Eddy

I'm sure CN will buy more Canadian cartoons

With Chowder and Flapjack being canned sooned what does that leave us with? TSS and Batman The Brave and The Bold?

You guys probably know more about CN's future with cartoons then me.

So does Cartoon Network plan to realease any original cartoon this summer or Fall?

Or are they just gonna rely on Canada?

maybe it has to do with the financial downturn, reduced production and stuff.
PPG Z was English-dubbed in Canada, too.

for US productions, there's also some new shows, including a new Ben 10 series.

note: CN Latin America airs many Canadian toons, including Being Ian, Atomic Betty (now mostly aired on Boomerang – which in LA is a teen network like The N/TeenNick) and Carl², as well as co-productions like Chop Socky Chooks (George of the Jungle airs on Disney Channel here), and all other Canadian cartoons CN USA has (TDA and Stoked are yet to premiere – TDI isn't over yet – and 6teen has been on CN here for 3 years or so, as Adult Swim's lead-in – AS moved to I-Sat at the end of last year. currently, 6teen airs daily on Boomerang and Thursday primetime on CN as TDI's lead-in.)

Ed, Edd, n' Eddy is an American Cartoon! Not Canadian! Its been one of CN's most popular shows for years. It's even a Cartoon Cartoon.

I heard CN's picking up another show from Canada, but other than that one I don't what else they have in store.
Not that I mind. I'm tired of people making threads about Canadian cartoons "taking over" Cartoon Network. At least their cartoons.
And to set things straight.....
Bakugan doesn't count because it's an anime and thus from Japan.
Johnny Test was originally produce at Warner Bros. Animation.
Ed, Edd, n Eddy, is a CN original that just happened to be produced at a Canadian-based studio. It doesn't even air there. Plus the show's been around way before CN started picking up a lot of Canadian shows.

To add to that, TDI and TDA are the same show, so those are merged, so there's, like, 4? Canadian shows on the network right now. And them being cartoons is everyone's favorite thing about for the channel.

Canadian cartoons are by no means taking over the network. Despite the complaints of there too many Canadian cartoons, there are currently fewer Canadian cartoons airing at once right now then there were Japanese cartoons in any year before 2008.

The big difference is that Cartoon Network is airing the Canadian shows around the clock in a way they never treated any Japanese animation, even Naruto. That's what gives the illusion that Canadian animation dominates the network.

Of course not. When has a channel ever relied solely on acquisitions from just 1 country? All of this "OMG! Canadian cartoons are taking over CN!" paranoia is getting played out. It's nothing more than speculation with no basis in fact or reality. When CN was showing several cartoons from Japan, it wasn't transformed into Anime Network. This is no different.

Cartoon Network will acquire whatever cartoons they think will be popular and will grab the network some ratings. Whatever country they happen to come from is irrelevant. We should just be happy that CN is still showing cartoons instead of worrying about their country of origin.

He might have been confused since it was created by Danny Antonucci, who is Canadian. The company that produces it, AKA Cartoon, is also a Canadian studio. But yes, EEnE is a Cartoon Network original.

Thurop said that the Flapjack crew was making schedule and budget preparations for a third season. In other words -- and barring any unforeseen fall-out -- Flapjack isn't cancelled.

I don't see what's wrong with it,
I mean, there are plenty other shows from the U.S.A. alongside the Canadian ones.

I mean, why not air a show from another country that was popular in said country of origin? More variety!

And wasn't Bakugan just dubbed in Canada?
So, I don't know if that counts or not.
Or if you mean that CN should get a dub that's not from Canada...

Ok I expected the fine people of gaia to be fooled into thinking Flapjack was canned whn it's not but I expected the people of Toon Zone to actually know better. Especially when the shows creator tells us it's not canned.

Yet another anti-Canadian cartoon thread. These things grow like weeds. :D

You know guys, we've argued this long enough, and since I don't see much productive discussion coming out of this thread, I'm just gonna lock it.

And Norway's unbeaten streak over Brazil continues thanks to their 2-1 victory that led them qualified to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals (second round, first round is the round of 16) tonight.
Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
