I have been watching Original Dragonball on CN with the Closed-Captioning on, and I gotta say it sucks! Why is the captioning job so poor? Half of the time the captions don't even appear on the screen. Why does Funimation do all of the captioning themselves and not time it properly? Is it cheaper than getting professionals to caption it? What's the point?
And, why are none of the non-Funimation anime shows on Toonami or Adult Swim closed captioned? Tenchi Muyo originally had captioning on the uncut video version, but was removed by Williams Street to edit it for broadcast.
It would be nice to see the dialouge for Cowboy Bebop and Inu Yasha transcribed on screen.
Why are most Toonami and AS shows not closed captioned, but everything else on TV is?
