Looks like Discovery Family is changing its schedule again to start off 2025. It will look like this:

6:00 AM - Transformers Rescue Bots
7:00 AM - The Smurfs
8:00 AM - Jabberjaw
8:30 AM - Baby Looney Tunes (replacing Petronix Defenders)
9:00 AM - The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries
10:00 AM - Lucas the Spider
10:30 AM - S.M.A.S.H!
11:00 AM - Littlest Pet Shop
11:30 AM - Pound Puppies
12:00 PM - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (3 hours)
3:00 PM - Summer Camp Island
4:00 PM - Steven Universe

No word on the weekend schedule yet; that will be posted in 3 days from now. But either way, yes, we're losing Petronix Defenders after 2024, and Baby Looney Tunes is coming back in its place. And still, Hasbro's shows remain completely untouched since the very beginning of 2024.

What do you mean by that?

Hasbro's involvement in this channel has been basically an afterthought since Brian Goldner's 2021 death and the attending succession to Chris ***** to CEO where he has basically gutted their media business in the years since. Keeping that portion of the DFC schedule unchanged is almost a natural consequence of this (just this week it was announced that they wouldn't co-finance any more films).

Here's the first weekend schedule for 2025 on DFC:

6:00 AM - The Adventures of Chuck & Friends
7:00 AM - Hanni and the Wild Woods
8:00 AM - Lucas the Spider
9:00 AM - Petronix Defenders
9:30 AM - S.M.A.S.H!
10:00 AM - Jabberjaw
10:30 AM - The Smurfs
11:30 AM - The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries
12:30 PM - Summer Camp Island
1:30 PM - Steven Universe

That's right, the whole weekend schedule is not seeing a single change whatsoever. Which also means all five of Hasbro's remaining shows throughout 2024 are still under Discovery Family's brutal oppression for at least another 3 months. And of course, Petronix Defenders isn't actually leaving the channel; it's now only on weekends.

Okay, you really need to stop claiming Discovery Family is this "magical opposing force" that's somehow harming those shows. Nothing bad is happening to those shows. As stated thousands of times, they already have legal ways to watch anyway outside DFC.

You just officially hurt my feelings with those words. :(

I really hate to DO THIS to you because I am also very sensitive but if just saying this hurts you you need a thicker skin.

I think @Stumpos is just try to help you and they don't means to hurt your feeling. I know that you expressed the frustration with DFC and I can understand - can't blame on you at all. I had numbers of members here criticized me and they didn't hurt me at all.

Remember - when you play soccer and Stumpos is on your team, and both of you know to do team work. That's same for online discussion here. What are your thought about DFC? shows? channel operation? The Hub? Share your experience that your grow up with DFC, Discovery Family, The Hub.

I fondly remember The Hub in early 2010s and I think that was one of best era for this channel.

I can see a schedule changes for DFC is very much minimal and I do think that may change if WBD decides to divest DFC and sell to other company, so Hasbro may get out for good.

As others said, I wasn't trying to be mean. I was just pointing out that complaining about DFC having Hasbro shows isn't gonna help and isn't doing anything to impact legal watching of those shows.

Discovery Family Channel is doing sorta well.
Better than Disney XD at least and close to Teen Nick in ratings. As much as you'd expect given it's now just an extension of Cartoon Network ever since the merger.

But, at the very least, they are doing something bad. Looney Tunes, despite no longer even airing on the channel as of November 30, 2024, still has its commercials frequently airing on it.

The thumbnail of this video shows a portion of one of the Looney Tunes commercials.

And according to Philo TV, it says "Not Available" on the Looney Tunes page, and it's My Little Pony that's airing at 1PM, not Looney Tunes.

How is that a bad thing?

In my opinion, 22,000 viewers watch on Discovery Family is very bottom like a rock and 10 years ago, it was over 100,000+ viewers if include adult viewers. Big network like Nickelodeon and Disney Channel got over 100,000-300,000 average viewers with much higher for special programming like football game on Nickelodeon.

Discovery Family does go up and down, depends on quarters.

It's like that for every cable channel nowadays where they're all way past their prime.

And keep in mind DFC has the same level of availability as Boomerang, Nicktoons, Disney XD, Disney Junior, and Nick Junior so it's closer to them in ratings now.

Yes, they are past their prime but I can't comprehend about how say 22,000 is good numbers. Those kind of numbers for people who don't have a place to watch, beside DFC, especially on Philo if Nickelodeon and their 3 sister networks aren't good - much more spamming than DFC.

Customers on Spectrum has no access to Disney XD and Disney Junior. My grandma is on Spectrum and can't tune to Freeform, however FX air Christmas movies like Home Alone 1 and 2 yesterday.

Yes, they are on most expensive cable tier.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
