"Drawn Together"-Episode 2-Talkback!

I have a feeling this WON'T be the last episode we'll be hearing about Clara and Foxy's little moment...and Clara thinks she's pregnant from it? WTF o_O

Poor Ling Ling, getting stuck with the dishes =\

Death to Clara! But she can't die, because Disney princesses NEVER die!

...Spongebob loves his position right now.

Wow...they got away with that?

...Octopussy? Go figure.

Boy, the guys are sure getting a kick out of that. Too bad Ling Ling is still doing dishes and missing the show

Toot finally got her attention.

...This show is getting really wacky. We just saw a Hanna-Barbera-type musical number, Spongebob is getting STAR WARS'D, and Ling Ling is STILL doing dishes.

MY EEEEEEEEEEEYES!

I didn't know they were allowed to do any....of that on TV. Granted this is Comedy Central....notorius for pushing the envelope....but still...

It is TV-MA, after all. I'm kind of wondering how much further this show's going to sink for a cheap laugh.

Well, here's a series that could definitely not have been pitched to Adult Swim. Not that any of those "sex explanation" scenes in the first part were necessary anyway.

There was a 24 parody.

This show is gold.

What I've seen is not too bad in the comedy department, but the overall concept of the show -- what could make it different from any other animated comedy show other than just the presence of some new jokes -- is being lost. They're doing a lot of very general parodies that, while occasionally funny, could be done on any other show. They don't seem to be doing enough reality show parody. It's turning into just another show, with "confessionals" thrown in whenever they remember that it's supposed to be a reality show parody.

...Cell-mirror? 21st-century Disney, I tell ya. Oh crap, REVELATION'D.

Heh, a reality show parody in a reality show parody.

I'm really starting to feel sorry for Ling Ling. All he's done the entire episode is the dishes :crying:

Toot = PWNED.

Typical Disney moment right there.

...Holy crap, I was NOT expecting that.

The dishes finally got done! CONFLICT SOLVE'D

"IT CREANING DISHES" ENGRISH'D

Next Episode - Link boy is gay? Wow. </sarcasm> Also, cameos by Snagglepuss and Elmer Fudd?

The V cam/ Star Wars pardoy haveing laughing so hard right now. This show in my opinion is getting better by each episode in my opinion.

Funny moments (The M.C. Escher room, The Bachelor spoof, Star Wars ref, "Let's misinterpret Ling Ling!"....), but not as good as the premiere. Relied much, much more on cheap shock value.

The show is far from perfect, anybody watching it can tell you that. There are jokes that are funny and there are those that don't.

For me personally, I think they cram so much stuff in, that the stuff that doesn't work quickly gets overshadowed by something that's funny. So by the time the episode is over the funny things far out weigh the bad things.

I liked this episode...for...some reason. The naked people having sex in the beginning threw me for a loop...but I regained myself. The Bacholer parody was classic, and the various other odditites (Tooty telling everyone the secret without even leaving the room) had me smiling.

Its raunchy, its random, but for me...it's working for some reason. There must be a dark and twisted side to my sub-concious that likes the akward situations in this show. O_o

EDIT: Despite my hatred for that pig, My favorite quote from the episode came from him: "Its like my Grandfather used to tell me. Its not what's on the outside of a vagina that counts. Its whats on the inside." :D

One thing I have to ask: can Claire's privates officially be considered a "tentacle monster"?

Hmm

I don't know what to think of this one. It had some good premises, lines, and gags, and some really BAD ones. For example: The opening bit involving the animated nudity was really cheap shock value, but the angry married couple banter afterwards was good.

I don't know what to rate this; I liked last week's more but I'll keep watching.

Side note: 5 bonus points for a 24 joke.

I guess I'd better break out the spoiler tag...

For a second there, I thought this episode was going to focus on Clara thinking she was pregnant. Instead, we get octopussoir.

The musical number was insane. Didn't see that one coming. It's about time someone explained the "hall of doors" trick.

The Bachelorette parody was good. They even pulled out the roses.

The evil step-mother scene was touching, yet funny. I like how the whole "evil" thing was nothing but Clara's mommy issues. "Your mother's dead! *gasp*"

"This vagina needs a woman's touch."

I liked the nice and neat wrap-up with the octopussoir's redeeming personality. It's a philanthropist!

For all of the things I didn't like in the first episode, this one made up for it, in my opinion. Still not the best thing on TV, but I've seen far worse. Far far worse.

This episode jumped around a bit. Ling Ling's joke surprisingly held up well, despite that it was used so much. The tentacle vagina joke was either hilarious or just terrible. Foxy was great and all the scenes with her were pretty good. The 24 gag was good and the sudden chang in plot was nicely done.

Three things worth complaining about. The pig is terrible. Horrible. The anti-funny of the show. The singular plot didn't hold up too well. There needed to be something else going on with another character or something. Last, the latter half of the show proved that the show doesn't NEED to rely on "HOLY FOMG" gags like the tentacle vagina, so hopefully they'll be less intense as the show develops. Though, I'm not really counting on that.

So, in short, another good episode. I don't predict Drawn Together to be spectacular, but the last two episodes have left me entertained.

How can you say that? The final act was a parody of "The Bachelor". And the entire Ling Ling runner was straight out of reality shows -- no one in the house is doing the dishes and the one neat freak is pissed off about it. In fact, in almost every up coming episode there is a specific reality show parody, including (but not limited to) "Big Brother" and "The Apprentice." Also, an episode that may not air for a while (Captain Hero is confined to a wheelchair a la Christopher Reeves for two thirds of the show) has an extended parody of cartoon stereotypes that I guarantee can't be done on any other television show. As a side note, that episode was co-written by a 12 year old boy (although you might think that that proves the contention of some of the posters here that the show is juvinile).

Your pal,
Bill

I thought it sucked. Lots of bizarro humor that I didn't laugh once at= Lame.

My opinion is that this show only succeeds when the new South Park before it sucks. And "Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes" rocked.

I only saw about half of the episode, but what I saw was getting far removed from the concept and seemed like stuff that could be done on any other show. The only difference was the occasional cutaways to a character talking about what happened. I'm not saying that inherently makes the show unfunny, but it does make the show more generic and lose sight of its original concept. And that concept is a good one.

That...was...awesome...

I loved the musical number and the recurring gag of Ling Ling doing the dishes and yelling to the other housemates about it.
