General International TV Channels Thread

Yet I don't believe Toonami's American configuration will work outside of the USA. Turner's puritanical overseas kids divisions still believe that Toonami is for kids and that there's a lot of things to be censored over its channels, it's a hypocrisy. In Latin America on either I-Sat or Space, maybe.

Animes are rarer here, except for Netflix. Gone are the days of cable providing us with awesome animes.
Well, it doesn't have to be under the Toonami name.

2M Monde dropped (Monde) from the logo, and used (30 Years) on the black box of the logo.

Why did Animal Planet and Discovery Travel and Living shut down in Italy? Were they replaced with anything?

Their channel slots have been taken over by other channels and no, there is no direct replacements from Discovery for those two.

That explains why the broadcast licences for Animal Planet Italy and Discovery Travel and Living Italy were handed back. Sky Italia was no longer interested, but instead, Sky could get exclusivity over Eurosport. Both channels will continue to air on the DPlay platform.

I think they also handed back the one for Investigation Discovery Italia, as it closed down last 28th Febraury. It was on Premium Mediaset.

Seems Okto never got a Facebook page, at least Okto Sports has one but the local kids shows have been promoted on Channel 5's page for years now.

Mango TV broadcast the Oscars and censored Lady Gaga, etc. from its broadcast:

Last year they removed LGBT symbols and an entire song from the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on the platform.

Ironically Lady Gaga on the Oscars wasn't censored on CCTV reports.

Ironically its Latin American counterpart - who still uses a variation of one of Much's old logos - airs more music than its Canadian counterpart - both were distanced years ago as it's now owned by Turner, as the owner of Much Latin America was Claxson and was sold to Turner in 2007.

Claxson? This name is so eerily familiar. They weren't the original owners of Locomotion with Hearst? (Unless Wikipedia is saying something fake...)

This was one of those rare overseas investments. Locomotion was sold to Argentine company PRAMER in 2004 and was quickly sold to Sony where it became Animax.

Surprisingly, TLC Sweden rebranded today using the current US look (or a version of it) and therefore they have gone back to the 'older' logo.
Personally I like this rebrand better, however the DOG is just too big. Will see if I can post some pictures later.

I guess TLC Europe rebranded too. Discovery Europe carries CEE feeds of its secondary channels to Portugal and with Portuguese subtitles. They still believe that our market is as underdeveloped as an Eastern European one, so yeah.
