Hot Topic

i think it's always nice to look in once in a while, and see what kids these days are wearing.

though the left side of the store , with the t-shirts, i don't look at. those never go out of style.

Hmmm....

My taste in MY clothes is a little too...... "LL Bean" to shop at Hot Topic for my own clothes.

(But they've got great stuff for Girls/Girlfriends.)

I don't really like 'em. They sell easily rippable, ugly pants for high prices. Still, they have some cool t-shirts.

And I think what all those Hot Topic models really need is a hug! ^_^

I despise Hot Topic. Most people who shop there usually think that they're proving that they are rebellious and alternative. Well, I've got news for anyone who thinks this way: Hot Topic is owned by the Gap.

I buy t-shirts at Hot Topic. Mostly relating to cartoons, sometimes bands.

Well, not all their shoppers are anti-normal culture. Some girls I know look lust as good in Hot Topic's PVC/Vinyl as they do in normal Business/lawyerly attire. So although I wear nothing from there, I am somewhat of a fan.

Heh, not in person, but I've seen the 1/2 hour about their Original Maine Store (Originally right off of US #1) on the History Channel, and I'm a huge fan of the Rehobeth Beach DE, LL Bean Outlet.

Well, there aren't any Hot Topic stores in the city where I live, so I've never been in one. But just looking at that site gives me the impression that I wouldn't shop there. My taste in clothing is fairly conservative.

What do I think of them?

Over priced, bandwangon hoping, putrid, purille garbage with a load of inane attitude heaped on top that's now making some very non-like-me people very rich my selling my childhood to a bunch of kids who never lived it. Yeah, that TMNT logo on your backpack really makes you look cool/anti-cool ya stupid 15-year-old goof.
That, and I generally find their stuff gets really really stupid and cliche insanely fast.

BTW, if you want to get music, the local used music shop has the same CD's for quite a bit less, and you get to support an independant business to boot!

I couldn't have said it better.

To me it's really just another clothing store. I love their tee shirts and jewery. Their pants are cool, but over priced. I actually prefer baggy pants for confort reasons, nothing to do with rebelling against anything.

I got an Inu Yasha shirt there last week. I was suprised that they had one in my size. They sell anime tee shirts and places like Walderens and Suncoast, but those are useally in XL, a tent on me.

In other words, they have nice stuff, but not a place I would shop at everyday.

I was hoping sometime for my birthday I want to get an Inu Yasha T-shirt yet was there any price comparason between Suncoast, Walderens or Hot Topic, because getting a shirt like that would be some what pricy and all.

I've been there several times. I've gotten an Invader Zim patch and a couple of video game-related shirts.

i don't think you're quite qualified enough to speak on behalf of "most" people who shop there.

it's a clothing store, people go there to buy clothes they like. (gasp! the horror!) i fail to see what's wrong with people choosing to buy from a store they like, regardless of what type of store it is.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone who shops there. I was just speaking to the mulititude of kids who think that they're proving a point by buying studs from a store owned by the Gap. So if you're not one of those people then this doesn't apply to you.

I think Hot Topic is humorous.
Hot Topic used to be the 'in' place, but now that we(AK) got our First Abercrombie and Fitch(sp?), no one really gives a care. But such is the case for all the stores that most of the people who go to my school long for, and when they do come, the others become dismissable. Quite like fashion trends.

I like Hot Topic because of one veeeery important thing; Adult Swim Shirts.

(Wearing my Captain Murphy "Fignuts!" shirt right now BTW)

i only checked out hot topic for the nintendo related clothing. sadly, i'm still looking for my red "nintendo" hoodie. does anybody know where i can find one online?

It's kind of hard to say... I don't care that much for Hot Topic but love a great deal of their products. Hey, ZIM and Adult Swim get me there easily. And many of the tee-shirts are great. They have virtually nothing in long-sleeve, though. And their prices are absolutely hell.

I try to avoid it, although I did just make an exchange for the Calico Jack Rackham shirt (the shirt displaying his Jolly Roger, the infamous skull and crossed swords).
Other than that, Weatherman and Thanos pretty much spoke my mind.

I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
