hey cool! LL bean!zmanjz said:Hmmm....
My taste in MY clothes is a little too...... "LL Bean" to shop at Hot Topic for my own clothes.
(But they've got great stuff for Girls/Girlfriends.)
Well, not all their shoppers are anti-normal culture. Some girls I know look lust as good in Hot Topic's PVC/Vinyl as they do in normal Business/lawyerly attire. So although I wear nothing from there, I am somewhat of a fan.Thanos said:I despise Hot Topic. Most people who shop there usually thinks they're proving that they are rebellious and alternative. Well, I've got news for anyone who thinks this way; Hot Topic is owned by the Gap.
Heh, not in person, but I've seen the 1/2 hour about their Original Maine Store (Originally right off of US #1) on the History Channel, and I'm a huge fan of the Rehobeth Beach DE, LL Bean Outlet.Delia97 said:hey cool! LL bean!
Ever seen their store in freeport?
Id like to see Hot Topic have trout swimming!

I couldn't have said it better.Weatherman said:What do I think of them?
Over priced, bandwangon hoping, putrid, purille garbage with a load of inane attitude heaped on top that's now making some very non-like-me people very rich my selling my childhood to a bunch of kids who never lived it. Yeah, that TMNT logo on your backpack really makes you look cool/anti-cool ya stupid 15-year-old goof.![]()
That, and I generally find their stuff gets really really stupid and cliche insanely fast.![]()
BTW, if you want to get music, the local used music shop has the same CD's for quite a bit less, and you get to support an independant business to boot!![]()
I was hoping sometime for my birthday I want to get an Inu Yasha T-shirt yet was there any price comparason between Suncoast, Walderens or Hot Topic, because getting a shirt like that would be some what pricy and all.DaphHime said:To me it's really just another clothing store. I love their tee shirts and jewery. Their pants are cool, but over priced. I actually prefer baggy pants for confort reasons, nothing to do with rebelling against anything.![]()
I got an Inu Yasha shirt there last week. I was suprised that they had one in my size. They sell anime tee shirts and places like Walderens and Suncoast, but those are useally in XL, a tent on me.
In other words, they have nice stuff, but not a place I would shop at everyday.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone who shops there. I was just speaking to the mulititude of kids who think that they're proving a point by buying studs from a store owned by the Gap. So if you're not one of those people then this doesn't apply to you.electricsheep said:i don't think you're quite qualified enough to speak on behalf of "most" people who shop there.
it's a clothing store, people go there to buy clothes they like. (gasp! the horror!) i fail to see what's wrong with people choosing to buy from a store they like, regardless of what type of store it is.
