Old International Fox Kids/Jetix Channels Memorial Thread

Here, besides airing on Jetix, it also aired on Rai 2, but not on K2 or Frisbee for some reason
There likely was a content firewall. Jimmy Two-Shoes didn't air on the two networks, because Disney scooped up the rights by default (DXD as a whole took over Jetix Europe's co-production in season 2)

Another thing is that Captain Flamingo didn’t air on Jetix in France, as instead it aired on Télétoon there, much like what happened to Iggy Arbuckle, meaning that Buena Vista didn’t get the French-speaking rights to the series.

The show was part of Breakthrough's catalog, much like Jimmy Two-Shoes.

Does anybody else view Zagtoon as a successor to SIP? I mean, one of the cofounders of Zagtoon, Jacqueline Tordjman, also cofounded SIP before leaving once it went dormant in 2009. Plus there was that deal with Saban for movies that didn’t go anywhere, and SIP pilot Kobushi even ended up at Zagtoon.

So if Jetix stuck around, do you think the Zagtoon shows would be SIP-produced Jetix originals?

The Jetix feeds that turned into Disney Channel aired alot of Jetix shows until 2010/2011

There was a Disney Channel that aired “The Kids From 402.” I’m not sure which country it was from — probably somewhere in Scandinavia. But in Russia, the transition from Jetix to Disney Channel was really drastic.

Definitely, alot of shows from Jetix moved to Pop over here after DXD launched

DC NL at the beginning, how bizarre

There are some exceptions like Kid vs. Kat and Jimmy Two-Shoes since both continued to air their second seasons in Disney XD.

Seriously, Portugal was the worst country to watch FOX Kids/Jetix shows. No cable channel and SIC limiting its cartoons to the mornings are the causes.

Over here too, our Jetix shows were limited as time went on

It was the Netherlands.
This show was the most popular Fox Kids & Jetix show in Europe — especially in Eastern Europe. Interestingly, it’s not very well known in the Americas. There, Disney promoted its own show, Recess, much more heavily. It was quite interesting that The Kids From Room 402 continued to air on Disney Channel in the Netherlands.

The arrival of Disney+ meant hope for access to these shows in the Eastern European market, since it’s hard to find them in local languages.

I also think that most of the FOX Kids shows had their dubs discarded because Disney Channel had no interest in carrying them, as well as the separate business unit that existed at the time, creating some sort of firewall.

Because of that, and SIC refusing to air afternoon cartoons past 2000 (keeping it only for Easter and Christmas in 1998-1999), most of those dubs are lost media.

Here in the UK, The Tofus only aired on ITV1 and the CITV channel

Jetix UK got the short end of the stick, as time went on, Fox Kids UK got rid of shows

December 2001: Mad Jack the Pirate, Secret Files of the Spydogs, Eek the Cat, Walter Melon
March 2002: Jellikins, The Triplets, Nanalan
Late 2002: Life with Louie, Inspector Gadget, Shinzo
Early 2003: Oggy and the Cockroaches, The New Woody Woodpecker Show, Dennis the Menace (the US version), Roboroach (though it did come back)

Jetix CEE continuity in Romanian from December 11, 2006 - one Russian Jetix spot had the stock music muted more likely due to uploader wanting to monetise his uploads:

EDIT (November 30, 2025): And another continuity reuploaded - this time from Fox Kids CEE in Romanian from February 2001:

Sorry, for double post but here's Fox Kids Poland continuity from November 2003 - note how the "Totally Spies" contest promo included a clip from "Diabolik" which aired on Fox Kids in CEE, but in Poland never at all (neither TVN or Polsat bothered to buy the license to air the show):

Cartoon Network has really helped me cope with some dark times this year.
Starting to be active on the forums again since this is one of the few places I can have informed, good-faith discussion about cartoons.
The Voyo-exclusive Romanian dub of Garfield and Friends goes on with the second season now being relased. I was afraid they will forget about the show after only one season.

As someone who's Portuguese, it just bugs me again that we lost. I wanted Portugal to win this time because this is Ronaldo's last, but no, we think Ronaldo has devolved significantly, and we lost against Spain.
Fowler's Sonic the Hedgehog > Bay's  Transformers. There, I said it.
