PlayStation Network 2011 Downtime/Hack discussion

Already chose Little Big Planet, but it took up a significant chunk of my memory. Would like Infamous, but I also don't want to upgrade my hard drive.

You don't have to have it on your hard drive, after you select the game it would be added to your download list where you can download it whenever you want.

I had this same exact problem, though I owned my PSP before the hacking, and I was never able to redeem my two free titles because I couldn't sign in on Sony's site.

So you can't sign in? That's no fun. You miss out on their 'Welcome Back' program in entirety because their site still has issues. =/

But I can't sign up.

@Driftbaloon - have you tried to sign-in over the web? Because according to Sony it will prompt a password reset by email. I don't know if it works because I created my PSN account via a PS3 and successfully reset my password and redeemed everything with only minor problems (the 2 PSP games over Media Go/PC, the two PS3 games over PS3, and the PS+ 30 free days last week on the PS3).

@Radiant - Honestly, it just proves that PSN is not fully back. If you can, you might be able to create a PSN account over PS3 and redeem the stuff (but not download as mentioned earlier) through the PS3 and then download your stuff through your PSP or via Media Go,

I need to sign in on the web to get a new password for my PSP, but the site I need to go is down. I tried recovering my old one too, but the email never came.

I've been having the same problems, looks like if I can't change my password tonight, I don't get the free games. I already contacted Sony about it to no avail. So no LittleBigPlanet PSP for me...

But I don't have a PS3. lol

I'll just have to wait until they get it fixed, I suppose.

Just to let everybody know: even if you took advantage of the free PS + trial at the beginning of June, there's still a free month left in the welcome back box at the store that can extend it until August.

Not what they intended I'm sure, but I figure it was easier for them to just give it to everybody again instead of weeding out those that already did it. And free exposure is still better than no exposure. I'd grab it before 9am tomorrow if I were you, because it will definitely vanish by then.

That thing wasn't there when I checked late last night. Then again, I redeemed my PS+ trial last week and still see no point in PS+.

Is this the reason why my account still has the PS+ mark on it? It was supposed to expire yesterday, but I can still see the mark.

Yeah same thing for me, I check around 7AM Monday morning and it was there and I extended my PS+ for another month, and I let Vyse know on Twitter. Might've been a mistake, might not have. Oh well.

WB has done so well with releasing the Paramount Popeye cartoons on home media that they should be chosen to distribute the long-delayed animated Popeye film that at various points was to be made by Sony and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (who has a long association with WB sister property Cartoon Network).

Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
