Well this was a surprisingly emotional episode

The amount of action was also surprising. I thought this episode was going to be full of comedic elements. The animation was also really good in this episode and it shows if the creators want to make a epic action packed giant robot battle, they could.

Its just they focus a bit too much on highschool life and comedy in the show imo.

Also, the Titan's space form should have been the Titan's final design imo.

That was a great episode of Sym-Bionic Titan. Tashy 947 was adorable and cute, yet destructible. I like how Lance was saying Tashy was a monster but hangs out with him at night time. For the rest of the episode, things got emotional and I almost shed a tear. So long, Tashy 947.

I used MS Paint 2010 to whip up this new avatar, it was pretty easy, only 10 minutes to get the cute detail.
It took me longer to do the second one, 5 to 10 mins longer.

Well, we learned a lot about the Mutraddi today. At first, when the only Mutraddi shown were the dumb animals Modula was leading, I was wondering why such a benign planet as Galaluna would be sending a military expedition to the planet: a scouting expedition wouldn't have a general and a king, and they seem to lack the gumption for Britain-style colonization. But if it's a planet of dangerous bioweapon merchants...

That revelation is actually my favorite part of the episode (yes, I'm a continuity geek). Though Ilana did have a rather choice line today...

I thought that at first too, but then I decided it would be too obvious. Right now I'm hoping for it to be connected to the Galalunan military force on the planet (either caused by the Galalunans, to repel them, or what brought them there in the first place).

I cannot express how much I love this show. Such the perfect mix of humor, action and drama. Such great writing. I only wish The Clone Wars had writers as good as this show does. Just consistently solid episodes week in and week out.

Genndy is a friggin' genius.

I thought the alien guy sounded just like the Oracle from Jak 2!

I thought that house that Tashy blew up was Courage the Cowardly Dog's house!

I'll be honest and say I wasn't really feeling much for this episode. It was interesting to see more of the Mutraddi since I thought that they were races of monsters and living weapons under Modula's control. But apparently that wasing the case. A living bomb did make sense for a weapon since that would be the easiest way for them to destroy the princess.

Tashy was pretty cute and I did get some giggles over Lance actually bonding with him in secret. It looked cute, especially given his tough/loner appearance. While I felt a bit bad for them when Octus told them that he was dying, and the dialogue near the end did relate to some of my personal experiences, I really didn't understand why they were that upset over it. Especially when Illana said something like this was the hardest thing they've face. For some reason, I'd imagine leaving your father and basically entire world to hide away would be harder. Despite its cuteness, I didn't understand why they were that attached to Tashy. Maybe if they had it for more than a day and either showed a montage of scenes playing with him or kept him around for a couple more episodes, I'd feel for sympathetic and understand why Lance and Illana were so attached to him. However, the music that they played during the transformation sequence was pretty moving.

Still, the ending with coming up with the name of Tashy 497 was kind of cute. That and along with Lance playing around with it and the music near the end were pretty much the only parts of the episode that I liked. It was decent at best, but I didn't think it was that interesting or really that emotional.

Great episode. Tashy 497 was kinda cute; shame he had to explode. He could have become the team mascot or something.

Modula seems his usual self. So that's where he got all his monsters from. And vaporizing someone for only a small mistake was creepy.

Other than the dramatic ending and the action in this episode, I found the scenes with Lance playing with Tashy hilarious. As well as the professor from the observatory towards the end "Don't tell me you were trying to see Uranus"

Wow. I had given up on this show after a string of episodes that bored me to death and I really had no intentions of returning to this show to see if it could redeem itself, I missed last nights Friday night lineup so I figured I would catch some of the shows in repeat this morning and I was really impressed at this weeks Sym-Bionic Titan episode. I was touched at the bond that the crew formed with Terrax/Squishy and I thought the episode was so well written that me, as a viewer, grew attatched to the alien as well, this is just good storytelling 101 and I am so happy that I got the chance to see this episode.

On top of the touching story we were treated to some comedy as well, i laughed pretty loud when Lance checked the sex of the alien and just assumed it was a boy, the way he named him Terrax was pretty funny as well. Just awesome stuff as a whole this week and for the first time since it's premier I'm actually looking forward to checking it out next week.

Sad, sad music for this ep and I love the Titan's space form, it's a nice look. Looks like next week we find out how The general dealt with the Armors, As I thought it involves disabling the watches that serve as there storage system while the armors are inactive. Not saying that all of them were taken out that way but a good number must have been.

Me too. I could almost picture Eustace and Muriel coming home and blaming Courage for the mess. ("Stupid Dog! Who's gonna clean up this mess that you made?")

The music after that part sounded really nice.

Yeah, I liked that piece, too. Beautiful.

The opening scenes with Dracula...er, Morbida...no, Modula!...as opposed to his appearance in last week's "Shadows of Youth" episode...got me to thinking that something happened to Modula when he was supposedly "killed" in battle. I think some evil entity took over his body and is making him do everything from attack his own home planet and imprison his best friend, to sending giant monsters capable of destroying entire planets just to get rid of one young girl and take the throne of Galaluna for himself.

Hopefully, we'll be seeing the real story on Modula a few episodes down the Pike...

Wow. I was expecting something boring and predictable with the plot description, but this episode ended up being great, with its animation, action and humor. Nice to see Barb again.
Kimmy's back next episode. Now I'm really looking forward to that!
