Super Street Fighter 4: AE
Just an update. Like I said in the top 25 games thread, I think I had my breakthrough moment when I was playing against my brother-in-law last week because after I lost, I decided to go into training mode, and just stick with the ps3 controller and change the button layout back to what I had previously mentioned a while back in this thread (why didn't I do this when he was here, I have no idea.. I forgot about it truth be told), and from there I was doing a lot more. And even then I decided to do a character switch and main Cammy. Low and behold I should've mained her when I first got the game. She was the character I was looking for all alone. While she don't have that "coolness" that Guy has, she has everything else and fit the play style that I was looking for. Rushdown, easy to use (hard to master cause she is a fairly technical character with all her 1-frame link combos), damaging hits, and highly fun. I'm basically learning the fundamentals with her. Kinda ironic because a lot of people say pick either Ken or Ryu for that, but I find them very boring... Well, Ken might be fun, but Ryu is too boring for me (I've always used them in the older games). Anyway, there has been a rise in Cammy in the tournament scene, and all I can really say about that is oh well.
Edit: If you have company or live with someone and you find them to be annoying DO NOT play this game. I know when I suck and when my mind is screwed, and while I suck for the most part, my mind was pretty much gone when I picked Ibuki and afterwards because it turned chaotic in my house. Couldn't even enjoy the games that were fairly close because I couldn't focus. ARGH... I'm still furious. People, if you have a choice in the matter, live by yourself.
Got that out of the way, I tried playing Sleeping Dogs last night, and well, I don't like it. Combat is decent, but from what I can tell, there's no way to block. You're basically relying on the counter which is finicky. Maybe it's my copy, I don't know, but sometimes the buttons weren't as responsive as I'd like them to be. And then there's the driving. I hate it. It feels awful. Couldn't even make it within the first minute of the first chase.
