The "What'cha Been Playin'?" Thread

Been replaying Pokemon LeafGreen, or should I say playing since I never made it far back in 2004/2005. Just beat the Elite Four and Gary.

My Team

Venusaur: Level 63
Pidgeot: Level 36
Nidoqueen: Level 51
Kadabra: Level 55
Vaporeon: Level 62
Moltres: Level 52

And I started replaying it just before the Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee leaks started to emerge.

Still playing Super Mario World on the SNES Classic. 20 games I haven't played and a year later and I'm still enjoying the hell out of the first game. :D I completed all 96 exits on all three save slots and will move on to Donkey Kong Country once I get amazing at this game. I don't want to just beat it. I want to play it as well as I did the original Super Mario Bros. That might take a few more months.

Recently I've been playing this shameless Super Smash Bros. rip-off called Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL. It's literally just Super Smash Bros. but with Cartoon Network characters instead of Nintendo characters. Oh and I've been playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl as well.

I have been playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 2. I need to start playing the Octo Expansion pretty soon.

Mario Tennis Aces, which I just got earlier. It's my first Mario Tennis game, believe it or not.

I am interested in checking it out, but I think I'll sit on it until Nintendo puts out a software patch that rectifies some gripes players have had about multiplayer and all that.

I've been playing the Crash N Sane Trilogy nonstop in my Switch, i never could finish the first game when I was a kid and years later it's still kicking my ass.

I've been playing Smash Bros for Wii U, been revisiting Pokemon Moon, and just played Fallout: New Vegas for the first time.

Been playing Octopath Traveler and Final Fantasy 7

It's fun playing Square's history

We happy few. Around 15 hours into the first campaign. Something about this game does not click with me.... I can’t put my finger on it yet. Perhaps it’s the fact your not in any real danger once you fill out the combat perks. Just beat the tar out of them with the pre order weapons and you don’t have to deal with the stealth mechanics! The survival stuff is alright. It really feels like this game needs a bit more polish and harder combat to justify the stealth stuff. I’m playing on normal difficulty, and it feels to easy for me, you know..

I did end up trying Paladins because of the Switch release, and I want to play it more. I like the game, but it just doesn’t “stick” with me that much. In Fortnite, for example, the matches take around 15 minutes. But in Paladins, at most it takes half of that. So you just don’t get that motivation to keep going.

I’ve also been playing TF2 and Plague Inc: Evolved, though.

A lot of Fortnite for some reason. I want to get good enough to kick Ninja's ass at the Fortnite World Cup next year, even though I'm mediocre right now.

I've been playing a lot of Super Mario Odyssey lately. It was one of the big titles during the Switch's first year and it got a lot of praise along with Zelda Breath of the Wild. After playing through a good portion of the game, I can see why. The graphics are really good and there are some nice creative designs for the kingdoms. It is a lot more fun to give Mario different outfits than I thought it would be. It is fun to explore through the different kingdoms in order to find the different Power Moons. Although, it is a bit overwhelming to know just how many moons are in the game and some of the challenges to get them seem impossible for me. I don't know if I'd try to go for a one hundred percent completion of the game, but I might give it a shot. I should be near the end of the storyline since I'm close to confronting Bowser, but it was getting a bit too upsetting and annoying, so I'm taking a bit of a break from it for awhile.

I also played a bit of Pokken Tournament Deluxe. Fans wanted a traditional fighting game with Pokemon and I think that it works in this game. It's pretty fun and it scratches my fighting game itch since I haven't gotten Super Smash Bros. Ultimate yet. It is more of a traditional fighting game than the Super Smash Bros. series is, but it is pretty enjoyable. It's hard for me to learn all of the combos, the tutorials are a bit too long to really help and the AI coach is so annoying that I had to turn off her dialogue during the matches. Still, it is a pretty enjoyable game, there are a ton of titles to unlock, the mission panels help to give you something to work towards for the different leagues and there is a good amount of Pokemon to choose from, although it is still strange that they didn't include Greninja in either version of the game considering its popularity.

I'll be going back to play through more of Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee though. I'm close to finishing the main storyline with my Eevee team, I haven't done much of the post-storyline content with my Pikachu team and I'm still debating if I'll use a different Pokemon for my Pikachu team as well.

Mappy, Galaga, Pac-Mania, Dig Dug, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Escape It, Jungle Hunt, Pac-Man, Burgertime, Shield Shifter, Space Invaders.

I just started playing my very first PS4 game: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. It's just as fantastic as the first one! I just cleared the first main story chapter with Guardians of the Galaxy and I also earned my first True Believer. I can't wait to unlock all the extras in Gwenpool's room at the Avengers Mansion.

Oh, I almost have 100% completion on the first LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game. All I have left to do is accomplish a few final flying missions, complete the final mission with Groot, and get my last True Believer.

I just started playing LEGO The Incredibles for my PS4 and it's a lot of fun. I just completed the first part of the main story and got my first True Super achievement. I also managed to complete my first two Crime Waves as well. I can't wait to get into more of this excellent game!

Been playing Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon Y for the first time. Still need to grind to beat the Elite Four in Platinum, but I just beat Y.

My Team

Delphox / Todd (Level 71)
Talonflame / Fletcher (Level 74)
Raichu / Raimundo (Level 72)
Sylveon (Level 71)
Blastoise / Super Soaker (Level 73)
Lucario / Luke (Level 72)

I loved Y, not sure why some people seem to think it's the worst Pokemon game. I had much more enjoyment with it than I'm having with Platinum, and I don't dislike Platinum, I just think it's okay.

So now I need to finish Platinum and Crystal, and get OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire then I will have played every region.

Pitfall, River Raid, and Keystone Kapers on my Activision Flashback Blast.

I've been on a Super Mario Bros 2 kick on my NES Classic. This is a vastly underrated game. The levels and gameplay are completely varied and four different characters makes the game more fun. And it's not too long so you can start and finish a game in a couple of hours.

I finished Rayman Origins this weekend. Awesome game. A lot of fun to play, beautiful designs and often childish jazz music in the background. The last level with the grandma zombies was super hard.

I'll play Lego Batman: The Videogame in September. I'll play "Rayman Legends" and "Cuphead" next year. Maybe I'll also buy "Shiftlings".

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
