"Toonami" News & Discussion Thread

I really wish AS would make the Toonami block available on demand, I work like every Sunday and its hard to stay up and watch. Also wouldn't it get better ratings if it was on demand

They have Casshern Sins and Samurai 7 via On Demand.

According to some TV Guides, two episodes of Eureka Seven are apparently scheduled to air during the extra hour.

Williams Street is clearly doing this to yank their chains.

Note how TOM says "Eureka 7 is done," even though the marathon airs after Thundercats ends.

Supposedly people have already seen a Reck-It-Ralph promo with TOM pimping it or something.

So, this aired:

Nice promo there. Good to see them coming up with creative ways to plug Toonami.

Wow : ), this is actually a pretty cool idea for Toonami.

Demarco seems to be having fun on Twitter about it.

Cool promo. I guess now I'll have to watch Wreck-It Ralph.

That was a pretty cool promo and it's nice to see that they're promoting Toonami outside of the block.

Pretty creative advertisement and seriously cool they were able to set this up. I'm looking forward for anything in-depth regarding the movie.

I saw this one air the other morning before the opening Cartoon Network intro and kinda liked it, not the best promo Toonami's ever had but it was nice. I wish they'd air Toonami intro's between 9PM-12AM Mon-Fri though, I think I've only seen 2 or 3 promo's ran between those hours since Toonami's been back......but I don't watch much Adult Swim until midnight anyway so maybe I'm just missing them.

What is this, like a tie-in?
A special look into the movie?
Well, either way, it's interesting to see Adult Swim allow Toonami to do something like this for an upcoming feature film, let alone one from Disney.

I think it's mostly just a review for the Fix-it Felix Jr. game.

Interesting to note: season 1 of Tiger and Bunny hits DVD in February. So enough time for AS to air those episodes before the DVD release and after the Neon Alley premieres. If Viz would allow that...

The problem is less Viz "allowing" it and more AS being able to afford the show since it was again made clear by both Viz and Demarco, Neon Alley isn't stopping it from airing on Toonami. It's possible but I'd say the odds are much higher that it's a Funimation title and among those Guilty Crown and Future Diary are the most likely canidates if the show is actually new.

I'd say 75% chance it's one of those two, 25% of T&B and 5% chance it's something else(meaning most likely it's not a "new" show in that scenario).

105%! Woo-hoo!

Though seriously, I don't think we can assume anything for certain about what they'll air given how surprising they've been. The only sure bet at some point in the future (probably late next year, given that dubbing hasn't started on it yet) is Michiko to Hatchin, and even then we can't be too sure.

Yeah I know it's just kind of fun to speculate that way. I'd actually be more surprised if I was right.

Michiko & Hatchin I consider a matter of when more than if. M&H just has too much going for it.

Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
