If the schedule is the placeholder, perhaps they'll celebrate Toonami's birthday by airing movies. The crew has mentioned possibly doing such a night.

What's with the random Loiter Squad hour for one week before Toonami? A placeholder definitely seems possible.

Going by current trends, Toonami's first hour will destroy Loiter Squad that night. Maybe that will be an eye-opener for them.

They might still do something on March 16th/17th and chances are they'll announce what that is at Momocon this weekend. But it's also possible they wont do anything special but the way they keep talking about doing a movie night makes me think they'll at least play a movie.

I have heard that there is a LOT of gratuitous sexual situations in that show, very similar to what some intense cable dramas like The Americans and Mad Men have been able to depict. Adult Swim is not as kind towards sex as FX or AMC, much less HBO or Showtime.

It wasn't really a "accident" but more just "cheating" in their view it seems: Toonami

Pretty sure the mentioning of Lupin was because of a previous tumblr question that occurred slightly before the one you mentioned.

eeeh, definitely hope they don't think we're anything like the as message boards. Sometimes I'm surprised half the members over there actually like Toonami.

That's pretty cool. I don't know how the AS boards are about Toonami, but people here tend to have a pretty good view of the block. I still respect them a lot for just trying to provide a block fans can enjoy with such a small budget.

In a way, I kind-of quietly assumed Toonami or [as] in general knew of TZ, but the shout out and wave is nice. Would be .. 'gnarly' if they made posts here

Ditto on giving up on the people on the [as] boards. Didn't help I made a fool of myself either. Haven't logged in or made a post since the near-tail end of 2008, but I do occasionally browse around to see random comments toward Toonami-related discussions

The ASMB isn't so bad, just a bit rough around the edges. I get a great deal of entertainment out of observing threads there.

Toonami or at least Jason is quite aware of ToonZone and some of its' members over the years but it's nothing new for people in the industry to notice ToonZone. We've had our fair share of industry reps pop in from time to time.

i remember jason saying ( i think it was on the toonami faithful podcast) that he would look around here on TZ to see what people were saying about the block and sometimes influence changes on toonami!

News is coming out of the Momocon Toonami panel. We're getting a new Absolution and TOM 5 this April.

Evangelion movie night on the 17th of this month (that's this upcoming weekend and it's Eva 1.X movie [no one seems to be clear on which version. I'm guessing it's 1.11, You Are [Not] Alone).

One Piece is coming to Toonami.

No Young Justice on Toonami.

No Samurai Jack either until CN takes it off of Boomerang. They're also looking into other Western Animation productions but the rights will be difficult to get to what will fit the current block.

Sym-Bionic Titan Season 2 has a "chance", whatever that means.
