Looking at the article, someone made the mistake of [as] removing Toonami from 2008. Oops!
I see Toonami for sure going on for a bit longer. Linear itself is still slowly phasing out, but even in Toonami's off nights, and even in the numerous times we've seen decreases and increases see-saw, the block still holds out well on its own. I'll continue enjoying this gift while it's here to us. Additionally to bring back up, with six new shows in production, two of them known, while numbers to many who may base opinions on that may not look to great, I'd say for the most part they'd hold their own and help the block. As linear slowly phases, so do ratings/shares. Many shows on prime time are pulling under 1.0 and being renewed. For [as] to have some 0.3s and 0.2s?.... Great and steady for a Saturday night of all nights for the number crunchers (including myself for fun). That's something to appreciate. As Demarco has stressed a lot, Toonami's fine.
Did a little bit of fun on a spreadsheet. OG Toonami ran from March 17th, 1997 to September 20th, 2008. Including the many days it wasn't active, that total of days was 4,206. From the point of it's actual return May 26th, 2012, not counting the April Fools gig then, by November 30th, 2023, though a Thursday, and obviously not as many broadcasts with 0 dailies, it'd tie the active day mark by then, to where December 1st, a Friday, if Toonami is still at least active, the record breaks there, and [as] will have shown it in a longer span of time.
If you want to count April 1st of 2012, then just a bit earlier, The 4,206th day would be Friday October 6th, with October 7th, a Saturday, meaning a Toonami broadcast, that's when the record breaks. All up to one's opinion to take April 1st or May 26th. However, if going by April 1st, that Saturday October 7th, 2023 Toonami could have a notice of them surpassing OG Toonami.
