So I was wondering when we're going to get ratings for Toonami, and will they be posted on Toonzone?

I know for a lot of shows ratings usually come out around Tuesday night, but I could be wrong. Usually AS airs bumps that show their top rated shows sometime during the week.

I don't think they've done that for a while.

Ratings these days usually come out from Son of the Bronx on Fridays, but he missed last friday...

Yeah I haven't seen those clips for awhile either where they show the ratings. Just assumed I've always missed them. I know zap2it usually has a lot of shows ratings on Tuesday, but I've never seen a AS show on them from my acknowledgement.

Jason DeMarco just said on Twitter that they won't know until Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully he'll post the ratings on his Twitter when he finds out.

We didn't get Toonami ratings yet but here's last Saturday's anime Top 3 in 18-34

Bleach - 321K
FMA:B - 288K
Bleach (4 am) - 192K

I think that was an especially bad week but they can pretty easily double that with Toonami so they might meet the expectation after all.

That is terible wow

With all of the promotion and all of the word of mouth through social media and internet forums, I'm going to say that the ratings will look something like this....

Bleach - 1.5M
Deadman Wonderland - 1.3M
Casshern Sins - 1.1M
FMA: Brotherhood - 800K
Ghost in the Shell - 500K
Cowboy Bebop - 400K

Who knows, maybe the Toonami Faithful banded together even stronger and got shows like Bleach 2M viewers, it's a possibility since the social media front was exploding with fans promoting the block like nuts.

Oh yeah. I'm pretty sure Toonami can double that in its sleep, maybe even triple that. Though I think that was a really bad week in general for Saturday.

I have lower expectations than Manga4life but I think 18-34:

Bleach - 1.2 million
Deadman Wonderland - 1.1 million
Casshern SINS - 900K
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - 650K
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GiG - 450K
Cowboy Bebop - 500K (I expect it to do better than GITS)

Given the near-complete lack of on-air promotion other than a few ads on Saturday night, I'd be (pleasantly) pretty surprised if Toonami's ratings looked like that, macattack.

It's definitely going to be a building process. Once they earn enough $, then it'll probably be promoted on air more during the week. Toonami probably just drastically increased in ratings by word of mouth, so if they actually promoted it, it would probably go up even higher.

I'd blame that on either the SNL season finale, or the fact that everyone who reguarly watched Adult Swim Saturdays couldn't be bothered because they knew Toonami was the week after.

SNL is a likely culprit. It's literally the only other thing premiering then right? Season finale + departure of fan favorite cast members + popular guest host/musical guests is likely to trump Bleach filler and reruns of shows that were being pulled the next week anyway.

Apparently, SNL got a below average, which is very odd...

For some reason I think we're underestimating what we believe the ratings are going to look like. Heck, the April Fool's Toonami prank scored huge ratings and it wasn't even announced, literally word of mouth caused that, this time around we've had weeks to prepare for the launch of Toonami and I think the fruits of our labor will likely show in the numbers. I'm guessing we will know either today or tomorrow what the final numbers look like, I'm looking forward.

I would lmao if Toonami actually put a dent in it's rating.

Impossible. Because there was no SNL this weekend...

This is talking about May 19th. The Saturday of the last ever Adult Swim Action broadcast. It did quite badly (see above), but so did SNL.

Oh, lol still that would've been funny.

Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
The characters from Netflix's Mating Season apparently were born from the same deeps as the Warner Bros cartoon characters
