TTG and PPG Crossover

Well the thing is that PPG is a brand at this point so you can't just factor in the new show as why it's getting the crossover, but because of how popular the franchise is on it's own. I mean why do you think the CW had a crossover between the Arrow and the Flash despite the Flash series only having been on a couple of months and on it's... 8th episode before the crossover? Heck if it weren't for CBS having the show it would of taken about that same time frame for Flash and Supergirl to have a crossover and even despite being on CBS at the time it still happened in Supergirl's first season. Since these franchises have been on for quite some time not just factoring in the new shows the gap between them crossing over isn't as much, especially since these are some of the most popular brands on Cartoon Network. And speaking of that....

That makes no sense, especially making a WB/CN co-production considering on how the two companies still have not gain their act together.

You do realize that Warner Brothers and CN productions especially on something like Teen Titans Go are a lot closer then say how WB cartoon productions were in the past right? Honestly even the original Teen Titans show was in a lot of the overall marketing and branding in the CN interestials and bumps so it's not like those were shows they couldn't interact with. And honestly with TTG's much goofier tone it only makes them more comptatiable then before. Plus quite honestly WB and CN properties have been properly crossing over in official episodes of CN shows since the 90's with "Bravo Dooby Doo" and that episode of Dexter's Laboratory that had Blue Falcon and Dyno Mutt on it. I don't really see how this is really any different in terms of rights or licensing issues especially as both series strictly only air on CN or CN related channels so it's not like there'd be any major rights issues or anything.

Take a look at Say Uncle, The Simpsons Guy and Grim Adventures of KND. These crossovers too place because the people who worked on them were all friends, both shows gained popularity throughout time, the concepts were funny and both shows were on the air for many years, which is how they earned their crossover.

Okay first off Simpsons Guy is from FOX not Cartoon Network. And honestly the production teams of both the Simpsons and Family Guy for awhile not only didn't really work together but took shots at one another which were meanspirited "take that" digs then just references. And yeah they eventually worked together but that was still the Family Guy writing team not really the Simpsons writing team doing all the work and was as broad and as basic a concept as this is. Furthermore the Simpsons has done crossovers with shows that were a lot more recent at the time. Like the crossover episode with the Critic "A Star Is Burns" done mainly to promote the Critic coming to Fox that Matt Groening was so against he took his name off of having anything to do with the Simpsons for that one episode.

Say Uncle took place pretty early in both Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa's timeline as the shows hadn't even been on the air for two years at the time it came out. Heck "Say Uncle" was made at most early in season two of Steven Universe's production cycle which at that point the show might of been a hit but wasn't the more major hit it is now. Plus that was just more as a joke idea thus why it's an April Fools Day non canon episode.

I guess Grim Adventures of the KND is more in line with what you're saying (even though that was partially made due to the success of Nickelodeon's "Jimmy Timmy Power Hour" you know those three specials where The Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron crossed over) but again both projects had crossed over before in various CN ads before they had "earned" as you would put it crossing over so I fail to see how that matters.

kinda like now the Ninja Turtles: Next Mutation crossed over with the Power Rangers. Seemed too early at my best.

Again though that's a crossover based on two popular brands: yeah it was a specific cross over between the In Space Ranger team and the Next Mutation take on the TMNT, but it was marketed and pitched as a crossover between the super popular Ninja Turtles brand Power Rangers brand. Same thing here: PPG and TT are popular brands for Cartoon Network. In the past and now so it seems more natural for them to have a crossover.

I think you also have to realize they're doing a crossover now of all times because they're captalizing on the vs hero trends that have been making big money at the cinema now: why do you think is called heroes vs heroes? It's to parody/promote and make you think of things like Batman v Superman or Dawn of Justice or... not so much X-Men Apocalypse as that had more sudued "hero" fights and wasn't so much a hit but you know what I mean. And honestly I'm looking forward to this. I do hope we won't get a lot of "Robin tries thinking the girls are stupid and silly and gets slapped around" jokes as that would be funny once but wear out it's welcome quickly but the rest looks good. Heck the fighting shown here from the PPG feels more like the original series then the current one and again if this one has good jokes I'm for it. Again I really want a joke where Raven is annoyed at Bubbles and thinks her voice isn't cute or something like that even just a throwaway joke. You know since Tara Strong who does Raven did do Bubbles voice. I mean the Trans Dimensional Turtles did a quick joke about Rob Paulsen voicing 80's Raphel and current Donatello so this could do the same thing, albeit in a different way for a different case.
