Has anyone ever wanted to see ULTIMATE DC for real? If you don't know what I'm saying, here it is:

How exactly is this "for real"? It was just Wizard and some freelance concept artists filling pages in a magazine. To the best of my knowledge, no one involved with DC in any sort of writing or artistic capacity did any manner of work on it, making it little more than glorified fan art.

Maybe "for real" wasn't a good term.

I meant wouldn't it be nice if DC did this?

Well the Superman costume is not bad but the Flash is a different story.

I've always loved those designs, and it would be nice to see them take a stab at something along the lines of this, but nothing more than a miniseries or even a one-shot. DC is their own company and they can come up with their own good ideas without having to try and copy Marvel. It wouldn't hurt to just take a jab at something like this, though.

I loathe that Superman. I'm by no means a big Superman fan, but I do think he has one of the few looks in comics that shouldn't be revamped. Flash's goggles look a little odd, but I like the rest of his costume. The others are all pretty boss.

Id love to see an ultimate DC. Ive kind of thought that "The Batman" tv show and its comic book "Strikes" were like Ultimate Batman.

I like it!

I really wish they did this. I have some of the Ultimate Spider-Man hardcovers. There are some great stories and it's a nice way to catch up with the continuity.

I'd once again have interest in picking up a DC core superhero comic.

Hells yes, I wish this was real.

I'm not a DC fan but my brother is a big Nightwing fan and from looking at his comics and the titans look in this "Ultimate DC" I say they look waaayy better.

I wouldn't buy this but it would be cool to look at in the shop.

I would really like to see DC do something like this. It's funny how different DC's take on this idea is with their All-Star line. Their All-Star Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder has been mediocre so far but I have real high hopes for their All-Star Superman comic. Their take on the "Ultimate" idea is quite different than what Marvel did but I bet that was their goal from the get-go. Last thing they want is everyone saying how DC is just directly copying Marvel's idea.

In the Ultimate world All boobs are bigger.

try to be more shallow sometime. kidding.

those look cool tho. i don't really liike wonder woman's head-thing and i dont like flash's goggles.

Hell no, the All Star Batman is bad enough, and already what the Ultimate Universe is all about, making characters jerks who have no likeable personality traits.

You know an attempt at making a new "accessible universe" is bad when people start buying comics after it starts and still prefer the original one. Nice job, Marvel.:p

I forgot to infer sarcasm by italicizing.

I liek the goggles but if I were running around at super speeds I wouldn't want a mask over my mouth and nose

The thing is about an "Ultimate DC" universe is that Marvel.... well, they did it first. And quite successfully. If DC ever did something like this, EVERYONE would know that DC is doing a blatant copy job of what Marvel did/is still doing.

BUT, I love the idea of an "Ultimate DC" universe. I grew up a Marvel fan and didn't really read DC comics. I'm a huge fan of the DC characters(thanks to the DCAU. Thank you WB!), grew up with the Batman and Superman movies, but too many DC books, and not enough time and money keep me from buying into those. But if DC ever did something like this, it would be a great way for me and many fans to enjoy new versions of these characters with new beginnings of sorts.

I would totally dig something like this and I would buy it. I honestly think maybe at one time the big wigs at DC thought about doing something like this, but I honestly think too that they nixed the idea of it for it being a straight up copy cat job of what Marvel did. In a way it sucks because someone else did it first, but at the same time it still would be a neat idea to do.

The Clown Prince

Aside from what I assume is "Ultimate Martian Manhunter", I think they have nice looking costumes (but I would have Flash lose the face mask. The goggles can stay, but we need to see his face and hair).

You know, I was playing ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN the game (great game!!! :D) and I haven't read any ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN books in a long while, but I remembered how everything was with the characters and how different they were compared to their contiunity versions.

Then I thought about this.

I have this idea that if DC ever did this, it would be a non-reboot REBOOT all over again. Restarting the series again, but seperate so it isn't affecting the series still going.

Just what's in my mind.
