Upcoming Nick Programming

I wasn't sure where I could post this, but since it's technically a Nicktoon, does anyone know whatever happened to DBZ Kai. It was announced late last year that the show was returning late this year, but I haven't heard anything about it. The ratings for this show were HUGE for Nicktoons (I believe it is the most successful show in Nicktoons' history). I'm a huge fan of the franchise and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

I know this started from my post in the Ratings thread, but in case this conversation gets too long for that thread, I'll just reply here since, while nothing's confirmed, this is the thread closest to what I'm posting about.

You'd think if Bravo were to get a show, they'd already announce it. She's not involved with any of the pilots that were ordered. Nick might just be trying to get the most out of her while she's still contracted with Nick.

That might be true about the contract, and those recent live action pilots that were ordered are, imo, the biggest hint of there not being a coming Ciara Bravo show.

I'm still gonna wait, though, until the next Nick Upfront event before thinking it definitely won't happen (and of course, there might be some flat out confirmation about such a show not happening before that Nick Upfront's even around). I'm not sure how long it would take for Nick to decide to make a live action show (I assume that if this show exists, it'll be live action, but meh) starring someone whose main Nick role was in a non-Schneider-influenced show.

If Nick hasn't said "no" already to her having a show, they might be waiting on how Jinxed in particular does.

Yeah, I agree, especially with your last sentence, but Nick has been putting her everywhere lately. She's hosted multiple events for Nick (WWDoP, launch of Nick Radio) guest starred on The Haunted Hathaways, invited to a party over at the Paramount lot with all the other Nick stars (excluding the talent from Sam & Cat) plus she now has her own movie, and was also in Swindle. guest starred in Supah Ninjas, and was the Nick star who appeared the most times on Figure It Out. I'm sorry...but even Nick's golden girl Miranda Cosgrove didn't get that much opportunities when she was on Nick. I feel like they're waiting to see how Jinxed does..

TBH, I would hope Nick would try to invest in Bravo. She seems like she has a great head on her shoulders and as J21697 said, she's been everywhere. TBH, Swindle and Jinxed IMO, make pretty interesting live action shows. Not saying Nick would spin off either into a series, but the premises for both are fun IMO.

i look forward to seeing breadwinners

majin buu saga coming late 2013 and early 2014 ok ?

MOD EDIT: Please don't double post. If you need to add something, edit it in your first comment. Thanks.

I watched some clips of BW on Nicks YouTube channel, which I'm assuming come are clips from the show versus stuff Nick put together. I never thought I'd ever say this after I saw its pilot online.... But there was something very hip and trendy from the clips I saw. I know that could just be the best part of the show and not represent how good or bad it'll be... But maybe some of you guys can check some clips out. It ain't half bad...

I checked those out too. The animation is tons better (though that should be obvious) and the little repeat-jingles were pretty catchy. A lot of energy in these clips, I just hope that they learn to sit still every now and again. With this nonstop activity and screaming, it'll be an endless sugar rush. In any case, BW has a unique concept with ducks delivering bread, kinda like an epic reimagining of the Milk Man. I also kind of liked how there are different kinds of bread being delivered. All in all, it's really kind of dropped the AT/RS-esque stuff that people have complained about it copying. It DOES follow the same bromance theme, but it seems more modern and focused on just these two guys.

Exactly. I was dreading the Nicktoon based on its pilot on YouTube. But looks like it's improved major. Kinda intrigued to see this show.

I barely saw the YouTube Breadwinners pilot, but I plan to look at it again and then look at the Nick clips and compare and all that.

I didn't know about the Nick Radio thing... So yeah, that's another thing. (When I first seriously started thinking of Ciara possibly having her own show, I didn't know about the Haunted Hathaways appearance either.)

(EDIT: She also hosted Awesomeness TV in this past Monday's show. She has already done stuff for Awesomeness TV on YouTube though, but hey.)

I've also seen comments about how she looks younger than her age, and I feel the same way. I think that's another thing going for her. Like I said, by the Spring Nick Upfront event I'm sure we'll know if a show is happening.

I did think Jinxed could've possibly been an interesting small TV series. Swindle the movie is somewhat based off the first book of a book series, and I've seen the movie be compared to the television show Leverage, so yeah. Actually, even without that stuff, I could see Swindle being a TV series. I'm not suggesting any of that will become a TV series either.)

I actually wanted Swindle to become a television series, lol. It honestly would have been a great idea, but whatever. At least it's the type of movie where tons of sequels could be spawned off.

I saw the Breadwinners clips..and eh. I'll have to see at least 3 full episodes to make a judgement.

I guess the question is when will BW premiere. I'm assuming it'll officially begin in February when MvA is finished off. But there's another Monday holiday in January and I could see Nick airing another SBSP premiere with BW sneak peaking after. Nothing else premiering on Nick anytime soon aside from BW and it's already on the Nick website and app.

Saw a promo for a new series called Every Witch Way, which debuts on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. There's some promos on the Nick website, but according to the link, it looks like 40 episodes. I'm guessing its a comedy, but probably similar to House of Anubis where it'll have daily premieres.

Im im not impressed at all. Looks so girlish and reminiscent of when Nick went overload with tween shows. *Sigh. I hope Nick has better up their sleeves coming next year cuz this makes AwesomenessTV look worthy of renewing.

Mattel also has a new franchise on Nick beginning this Sunday. It's called Ever After High. I don't mind it much since Mattel properties have been solid for Nick.

I'm pretty sure that Ever After High (which already has a toy line that's been available for a while now) is just going to be Monster High but with "teenage girl versions of fairy tale characters" instead of "teenage girl versions of famous movie monsters". Either way, after watching the first Monster High special, it became clear to me that it was just going to be another generic sitcom-style comedy that could easily be done in live-action, that also focuses more on jokes based on the aforementioned "teenage girl versions of famous movie monsters" theme. So I'm pretty sure Ever After High isn't going to be that much different...

Where did u see the promo other than nick's website for Ever Witch Way? And also i havent seen the nick's press release or any acquisition for new show.

It's not visible on the site, but there are promos that can be found if you search for it on your internet search browser. I think promos just started today...

And it's not an acquisition. The show is listed on the Viacom network. Based on the clips I saw on the Nick website, the actors sound American, so it's not done overseas like HoA was.

OK now i see it, i think there should be that promo sometime tomorrow on nickelodeon tv since it already got it on website..

1. GROUNDED: Which is about two tween Greek goddesses that have to work at their uncle's restaurant on Earth. (Might be acquired than an original though).

So it seems like this series is going to happen as a TV series and more than a pilot? Based on that Viacom site, starting out, at least, with 26 episodes...

That's EXACTLY what it is:

So it's airing on Nick huh? Is there an actual full length episode? Or will they air these two episodes together?

Well like I was saying, Ever After High being too similar to Monster High isn't a huge deal since it'll air as specials, not actual series.

I guess Grounded will go thru, but it might just be on a Teen Nick. Really hope Nick doesn't inundate the network with too many live action again.

I can already tell this series is going Is to be horrific. The acting is horrible, the budget was obviously very low, and it only targets one gender.

Honestly, I would have been fine with a Monster High or Barbie series that aired every Sunday, but this? Ugh. Not the best way to start the new year off Nick.

According to their website it will air everyday, I'm guessing at 7. I have no idea why Nick is doing this.

Like Rocko said, I'm fine with Ever After High since it'll air as specials, and the Mattel (animated) programs have pulled in decent numbers for the network.
