Do you know a music video that you hate so much you want to destroy your tv? if so post here

Hilary Duff videos.

Once this gets on the Entertainment Board, Hilary Duff cannot be mentioned again so mention her now! :p

To get off on a constructive foot...

This Radiohead video from long ago with a stupid plot and ugly animation (it's from the same studio that did "Three Friends and Jerry", if anyone remembers the show or video). I forget the name of the song.

You must be thinking of Paranoid Android. Radiohead's videos always ruin the songs.

Tool is a great band, but their videos are bad....almost all of them are about some claymation guy getting tortured. Sober, Anemia and Stinkfist are their worst ones.

Blink 182 is also consistent with making bad videos. Man Overboard, Adam's Song and What's My Age Again are the lowest of them.

Most rap videos could be considered awful too, since rappers have extremely high images of themselves (there's a good Onion article from a few years ago about that).

Individually bad videos:
Modern:
Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Gwar - Saddam A-Go-Go
Peaches - Rock Show
Sublime - Wrong Way
Eminem - My Name Is
Reggie and the Full Effect - Congratulations Smack and Katy
White Stripes - Fell In Love With a Girl
Super Furry Animals - It's Not the End of the World?

Classic:
Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane
Elton John - I'm Still Standing
Van Halen - Pretty Woman
Rolling Stones - Waiting On a Friend, Start Me Up, Love Is Strong

Plain and simple:

"Rock DJ" by Robbie Williams.

Be thankful if you've never seen the video. That's ALL I will say about that. :(

I hate eminem videos as well as the majority of other rap videos because it combines bad music with a bunch of guys running around with women showing off there "bling".

I also hate the Bjork video where she is being hung by the skin on her back.

Video stuff

One comes directly to mind- Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way"

Normally boy band videos are derivative and annoying to begin with, but that one pulled every cliche in the book, it was mind-boggling. Choreographed dancing, identical outfits, screaming fans with signs....AAAAHHHH!! Make it stop! It hurts!

Others-
Christina Aguilera "Dirrty"
Alanis Morrisette "Head Over Feet" (She's not even trying in this video!)
Sum 41 "Fat Lip"
Kid Rock "You Never Met a M----------- Quite Like Me"
Jennifer Lopez "Jenny From the Block"
Las Ketchup "The Ketchup Song"
Michael Jackson "You Rock My World"
Incubus "Drive" (Love the song, but the video had no direction or point to it)

umm..

Backstreet boys 'Bye Bye Bye' where their on those puppet strings... what a stupid concept...

however my fav music video is by Linkin park with the destruction machine and those severed heads wired up to it.. it's the best damn music video ever.

Metallica's "Turn The Page"- They turned Bob Segar's beautiful song about rock star's life on the road into a video about a 'ho. [homer] ...stupid Metallica...[/homer]

I'm gonna have to say any video for a song from a soundtrack. I say this because they usually use footage from the movie in it. It just ruins the song, I think.

That would be their "Points of Authority" remix for the Reanimation soundtrack. It is really cool looking.

To be fair to Eminem, he's the only rapper NOT to show off his bling and pretend to be running around in gangs in between clubs. His videos are often hilarious and/or well directed (not his last one, though).

Typically, I hate videos that just show the band playing. Very uninspired.

I really hate Micheal Jackson Videos, some in the '80s were good Thriller and Billie Jean, to name a few but his recent ones are like movies! Like the Black or White video, and the stupid video/movie Moonwalker. Plus his most recent are even more stupid he does the SAME dance moves from the '80s, and what is with that darn crotch thing he does! ARRRGH!

Ok, I'm done with my rant.
Now I agree with the "Rock DJ" video, that was wierd the wome were literally tearing him apart, and when his skin came off,ewww.

Any hip hop video that features the following:

1) Excessive bling - especially mouth jewelery...

2) Cars that are obviously rented, Bentley's, strech hummer limos, etc

3) Huge mansion where a huge party is occurring (come on buddy, we know that ain't your crib)

4) Shiny outfits

5) Anytime where a guy is in the middle of his hardest lyrics and he gets all up in the camera scowling and looking pissed...makes me want to ask in my best impersonation of Beavis…”are you threatening me?”

6) The rapper or his group running from the police...and being upset about it. this usually happens after number 5, where the viewer was told about how many guns this guy has, cars he has stolen, etc.

Wow we must live on opposite sides of the taste spectrum!!

Really? 'Just' was a great video - as was 'Karma Police'. Not keen on Paranoid Android I have to agree.

I think the band's comic timing and self mocking attitude do them credit. I hate bands which picture themselves as heroes. 'Dammit' and 'First Date' are two of the funniest videos out there. Good ideas and a healthy self disrespecting attitude. Fun fun fun. :)

White Stripes - Fell In Love With a Girl

Again, 'Fell In Love With A Girl' and 'Dead Leaves..' were two great videos. Both very unique and well produced. 'Hotel Yorba' was fitting as well. Not so keen on their most recent.

Personal favourite videos would be Faith No More's Midlife Crisis (fantastic direction and subtle action) and Last Cup Of Sorrow (great play on Hitchcock's 'Vertigo'), Foo Fighter's Learn To Fly (like Blink, they have a gift of stylish self mocking), Garbage's 'Paranoid' (sassy!) and the Eel's 'Last Stop This Town' (weird).

Worst (which is the topic... :p)?

Pixies - Velouria: Great band, dreadful video of them moving in slow motion for 4 minutes across a quarry.
Alien Ant Farm: Not sure whar the song was as I hate this band, but the video of them leaping into a cinema screen and fulfilling their fantasies was egotistical, unfunny and rather embarassing.
Maryln Manson - Tainted Love: News flash mate - you're not scary or shocking. Please stop butchering songs. This dragged more than the original. At least the original has some kick to it.

I like Radiohead videos, including "Paranoind Android."

Here are my picks:

Limp Bizkit "Eat You Alive."

Korn "Did my Time."

yeah...

Oh, don't act like you didn't know that was an N*Sync video. :0P

All those pop boy bands are the same to me.. I get them confused all the time since I'm not at all into their music... They're all the same anyhow.

I agree completely (on both counts). I think "Just" is one of the best videos of any band, and "Karma Police" is pretty great, too. I don't think "Paranoid Android" is terrible, but with a song like that, the video could have been something amazing, and it just wasn't. Oh, well.

I can't remember the name of the band, or the song, but the one of the worst videos I've ever seen has "Follow the leader down/And swallow your pride and go" (or something to that effect) in the chorus. Basically, the video is the lead singer letting his ego run wild. He has 99% of the screen time either by himself, or with a dozen "duplicates" of himself populating the set. I guess just one of him isn't enough to satisfy.

A lot of videos with a band just playing in a room are pretty bad (with a few exceptions). C'mon, the budget might be low, but show some imagination.

WB has done so well with releasing the Paramount Popeye cartoons on home media that they should be chosen to distribute the long-delayed animated Popeye film that at various points was to be made by Sony and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (who has a long association with WB sister property Cartoon Network).

Today marks the 25th Year Anniversary of when Pokémon Crystal was released in North America. To this day, the Johto Games remain my favorite games in the Pokémon Franchise.
Today marks the 15th Year Anniversary of ThunderCats (2011). While I find it unfortunate that the show was canceled before it had a chance to finish its story, I am glad that the show's art director was willing to give fans closure via a podcast interview.
Okay, so I found out that Sailor Moon had meet and greets at Universal Studios back in May. It would have been so cool if we had that at the turn of the century. I have gotten hugs from a Sailor Moon and a Sailor Mars at a local con back in the 2010s and spent under $100 doing it, so I don't know if this is worth the splurge but I can see that these affluent geeky people are enjoying their Sailor Moon hugs.
