A WB spokesman has confirmed that Warner Premier and DC Comics’ next direct-to-video animated feature after Green Lantern: First Flight will be Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. The story was previously reported by Ain’t it Cool News.
The film’s plot, adapted from the comic series by Jeff Loeb and Ed McGuinness, will see President Lex Luthor framing Superman and placing a price on the heads of both him and Batman. The two heroes must then avoid the law while stopping a kryptonite asteroid and foiling Luthor’s plans.
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is expected to be released in autumn 2009.
