BLOCK TALKBACK - Cartoon Planet

This wasn't as good as last week. Namely because I don't like having more recent shows like Camp Lazlo & Chowder on the line-up. They're not classics, cartoons that were made within the last five years shouldn't be on here. Foster's gets in on a technicality as it was developed before the logo change of 04.

And man I forgot how weak Lazlo was. This didn't feel like something made by the people behind Rocko's Modern Life, it feels like rejected SpongeBob scripts slightly rewritten & lacked any real bite.

Dude, it's the Best of CN, they don't have to be Cartoon Cartoons to qualify, we should let the younger viewers enjoy the more recent shows.

Yeah, I like the idea of the block covering all of the shows CN has aired in the past as long as they're all made by CN, comedy, and pre-Adventure Time.

But man, if they aired Megas XLR and Sheep in the Big City on here that'd be some pretty big fan service. ;)

Crap! I forgot about it AGAIN!

Were there any new Brak/Zorak segments this week?

Even if the episodesthat played last week weren't as old, they were good episodes anyway. Though Iadmittedly tuned out the Camp Lazlo part, I still enjoyed the block. The Billy and Mandy episode was my favoritefor the evening, and the EEnE episode was disappointing, as I had already seen it at leastonce during the week before it aired on Friday. Hopefully they can catch thatnext time; it's a bit off putting to watch the same episode twice in the weekonly to watch it again on Cartoon Planet.

Ed, Edd n Eddy didn't air that week, so that shouldn't be possible.

Sure it is, the episode is on the season 2 DVD.

Alright yeah, but then you can't blame CN.

Boy Dudley, you just can't enjoy this, can you?

For me, having Boomerang, I should be even less excited than you, but it's a bunch of my favorite old Cartoon Network originals condensed into an easy to watch hour-long block, and more importantly, it's 3-4 minutes of new hilarious material from Brak and Zorak every week. As a die-hard Brak fan 16 years running, that alone makes me hope Cartoon Planet sticks around for a long, long time. I'd hate to see it shut down after a month like JBVO was.

Zorak had an arrow in his knee after he lost his video game during one of the bumpers. They didn't point it out or make a big deal out of it, but it's a pretty blatant Skyrim reference. It's things like that which really make me like this block.

This selection of shows was in my opinion the best thus far. Especially since it included Couage the Cowardly Dog and Evil Con Carne.

The best episode was the Evil Con Carne episode. This episode was retardedly hilarious, and the song references was a nice touch.

Anyone know the list of future block lineups?

Great episodes :anime:
I think KND Dodgeball was the best of the week
I also notice that Zorak had a arrow in his knee XD

This is one of the best Cartoon Planet episodes I've ever seen. So much better than the last episode. This time, they put shows that we Americans haven't seen in a long time. Shows like Evil Con Crane and I Am Weasel.

Also, I noticed how Zoark had a arrow on his knee. Classic. :D

I loved this episode because of the opisode of evil con carne it was such a good and humorous song,

It's on the first post of this page here. It has the past airings as well. :)

Of the many great shows tonight, which one was your favorite?

This one was super close. I had to go with Courage, but Eustace was hilarious. Followed by Weasel, KND and Carne. Least favorite was Dexter's Lab... wasn't all that fun as the others.

I'd go with the Evil Con Carne pie episode, followed shortly by Courage. Conversely I thought the weakest was I Am Weasel, but I've never really liked that show imo.

As always the shorts with Brak and Zorak are enjoyable and hilarious. Can't wait for next week, looks like we're getting more Johnny Bravo and some Flapjack, cool.

I really hope for more of Cartoon Planet Schedules for May. Just hope to not end so soon. :(

Aww, Dexter was my favorite this week.

It should've ran for as many seasons and episodes as its post-predecessor Uncle Grandpa did.
I wish Imgur wasn't allowed on this forum until the time is right for a return since it's been unavailable in the UK since last September, so I don't see why people use links from the site for here when it's no longer available in the UK and I'm really angry that their parent company made this stupid decision.
Happy 45th anniversary, MTV.
MeTV Toons is a great channel when it comes to classic cartoons, but we know it can be way better. The Duck4Real (me!) elaborates on this in his latest YouTube vlog. Watch it!
