Interesting. The on air schedule updated today, and it also shows Cowboy Bebop skipping to episode 20 this Saturday.

EDIT: And it also appears that Bleach is going back to episode 265 on December 1. If this is true, this can't be good for the block..

And we may see the original Fullmetal Alchemist after Brotherhood ends, as the schedule just lists the show airing at 3AM on November 24 as "FMA" instead of "FMA:B" or "FMA: Brotherhood."

Wow, they were so secretive about not leaking Tenchi Muyo GXP that not even the updated on air schedule lists it. Hell, even the regular weekly schedule and backdoor schedule skip the 12:30am hour on Sat. TVGuide still hasn't updated with the correct schedule either. Waiting to announce the show via a promo is one thing, but they really should have updated ASAP once said announcement was made.

I have to agree with Sketch that new show announcements would be much better off announced at least 2 weeks ahead of time rather than literally the week before. 1 week is a rather short time to spread the word. Plus, all TV listings would have plenty of time to update their schedules, so viewers won't be confused.

I wonder why Bleach would go into reruns since I don't know if Viz would need more time to dub more episodes at this point. It might be a mistake on the schedule's part. The original FMA on the block would be pretty cool and it would get a full run on Toonami. I've only seen part of the series before and this would a nice way to finally have some time to watch the whole series, as well as to compare it to Brotherhood. Though, if they do something like that, I'll have to watch the episodes online instead of seeing them on the block since I wouldn't be able stay up that late to watch it. I stay up far too late as it is, so I'll have to just watch the episodes later in favor of sleep.

Skipping to 20 for Bebop? Why? You wont even get an hour block for the 25 and 26 that way unless they skip another episode or 3. In that case just play the final 2 episodes on November 17th if that's what they're trying to get to faster. IMO they should have kept 1 episode of GITS and Bebop each or drop Bebop in favor of finishing GITS season 1.

Oh and if Bleach goes into reruns... I don't even want to think about it.

Just saw the latest Toonami promo a few minutes ago. No mentions of TOM 4, but TOM 3.5 will be reviewing Halo 4 this coming Saturday.

I still think that the episode listing with Bebop is a glitch, that came because if GitS was still in the slot it would air episode 20 and 21. They probably havan't thought about it. I also really don't think they got original FMA back again, when Brotherhood did better. I wouldn't really mind, even though I also personally prefer Brotherhood.

If Bleach goes into reruns... words can't descripe. Though I really doubt that if they had to rerun it they'd rerun filler. That would be dumb.

It's entirely possible that they never lost the airing rights for FMA, they were just sitting on it because Brotherhood has been running. Now that Brotherhood is wrapping up its second complete run, as well as its first run on Toonami, they might as well dig it out to have some content that hasn't been seen in a while.

I thought someone had said that 20+21 are the episodes GITS would've played (would have been). Meaning they kept the #s, but changed show. I wonder how the typing to that on air schedule is done. Like some "memory" that has the episodes stored or something. Later the people who type out the schedule see the # then add the episode themselves. Hm, you'd thing SOMEONE would notice. -- As for the #ing -- 4:00 am GITS showed 18, 19 where 5:00am Bebop showed 109 and 110 (production code). 4:00 am Bebop this week shows 120 and 121 (production code, unlike GITS) -- so it now has me wanting to believe 1 of 2 things

1) Internal Memory of the program they use to add in shows/episodes
2) They knew what they were doing and chose to continue # order (regardless of series)


Also noticed "FMA" -- I didn't think they'd air it again, for one, given how long it's aired, and two, that it could now be looked at as a filler for FMA:B, though that's probably not a proper way to put it. Since we saw many of these episodes condensed in the first handful of FMA:B episodes.

I'm fine with this as well. I understand why they would want to keep any changes a secret for as long as possible and it's kind of fun to speculate as to what kind of changes they could make to the lineup a bit longer than normal if the information was leaked out.

According to Toonami's Tumblr page, there are only 6 people currently working on Toonami, and they don't even get paid for it. They all have other jobs they get paid for.

Here I thought just Jason wasn't getting paid to work on it and he was brought in for consultation out of love for the block but there's 6 hard working individuals that care enough to do this extra work for no pay? That's remarkable.

Wow. I knew that Steve Blum wasn't paid for voicing TOM and that their budget was small, but having that few people working on the block and not paying them for it is both amazing and kind of sad. Considering the work they must do with a crew that small would have been worth something to Adult Swim. I am surprised that the block works as well as it does with a small crew like that and that bit of information does make me respect them even more for all of their work.
