They'll announce on the tumblr or the intro or in a promo whenever a schedule change is occurring.

You wont however know what the episode number of any of the shows are unless you compare the name to the episode numbers on a wiki or something.

Really I'm much more annoyed that we just lost the most reliable schedule for Adult Swim's weekday and Sunday line-ups. If they actually play something other than Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen, Squidbillies and the usual FOX shows outside of DVR Theater, we'll only be able to find out a week in advance at most. They just recently threw on China, IL on the weekday line-up and I wouldn't have been aware of that if it were not noted on that schedule. Likewise they briefly took away one slot of DVR Theater and I wouldn't have known that had I not seen it on the "on air" schedule. Speaking of DVR Theater what's the point of having something intended for being recorded by the DVR if you can't plan ahead for when you want to record something with the DVR?

If they ever make a goof on the episode they are airing again we should remind them that such things might not have happened if people looking ahead on the "on air" schedule had noticed the wrong episode was listed for the night.

You should tell them this on tomorrows Q&A. I think it explains quite well how we all feel about the death of the on air schedule. Really well put. Perhaps add that they could just write Toonami in place of their shows or some other suggestion.

The game review is probably The Last of Us, and it will probably get a 20/10 like every other outlet gave it. Boring. It'd be more fun if they reviewed Animal Crossing or something.

While I respect what he does, and all the work that goes into it, Demarco has a tendency to act like a petulant child when people don't agree with him regarding anything Toonami, and then turn around and say that the other party/parties are just a product of internet age entitlement and are stupid heads so bwahh. The whole backdoor schedule had to go because of toonami? It makes no sense. Is us finding out what replaces Eureka 7 two weeks early THAT much of a terrible thing? And if it is, just place a red herring.

Look, just so we're clear, I don't care AT ALL to get involved in some debate about whether the reasons for whatever are justified or not. I'm not interested in arguing that or hearing anyone else's. That said, all I will say is that I asked this question months back on the tumblr page and they did give an answer. I don't know if this reason is considered justifiable to you or not and I don't care. I'm just letting you know that's their answer.

That actually makes sense. Most outlets don't digitize them for video reviews, and neither do many commercials for handheld games now that I think about it. They use just the dimensions of the screens and the outline of the handheld.I don't know why they don't just do that, but whatever.

Not to mention the fact most Lets Players on Youtube don't play handheld games... mostly because the only devices that can record footage of a handheld game cost a ton of money.

Some notable things from this month's Q&A:

- The return of Clydes is possible.
- Sym-Bionic Titan did fine in ratings. It's only leaving the lineup because they felt that it was ready for a break.
- Eureka Seven will leave the lineup after it finishes its run. They're losing the rights.
- They won't be skipping any filler arcs.
- Sword Art Online is premiering at 2 AM because the first two hours of the block are stable and therefore bring in better ratings. However, if Sword Art Online does really well, it can be moved up.
- They want to see how Attack on Titan closes out before they consider it for Toonami. Same question was asked by someone else. (One reason is because of people complaining about the ending of Sword Art Online.)
- Apparently, Aniplex USA made an offer that they "couldn't refuse" for Sword Art Online.
- Whatever show starts off the block will have its full opening aired.
- The Toonami crew still is working for free.
- More paid events might be happening, like the one with Oblivion.
- It took about 6 months to make the designs for TOM 5, SARA, and the new Absolution.
- They're going to try to bring more Western animation to the block.
- Megas XLR will not be returning.
- IGPX was the hardest show to acquire. (They had to do a lot of convincing.)
- They're premiering Sword Art Online in July because they had a slot opened up earlier.
- There are no plans to do anymore collaborative albums like Deep Space Bass.
- Ratings are the main factor in deciding the lineup, but they also look at the "flow" of it.
- Jason DeMarco might be considering an IGPX mixtape.
- They started One Piece from episode 207 because the show was in HD and they felt like new fans could get into the show without being lost.
- Cowboy Bebop is the best show to ever grace Toonami.
- They're not sure what will happen with Bleach once it finishes its run.
- It was Mike Lazzo, head of Adult Swim, and Kim Manning, head of AS programming that decided to air Toonami on April Fools last year.
- Thundercats is expiring because it was created with partners at Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network doesn't own the rights to the characters.
- They're not concerned about the incest subplot in Sword Art Online.
- IGPX will be getting a second run.
- Adult Swim helped fund both seasons of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, but did not "produce" the show. (This explains why they have perpetual rights to it.)
- No plans for expansion.
- The rights to Naruto Shippuden are still unavailable.
- Rerunning the newer acquisitions means they can't run another show.

It sounds like they actually don't care about the chance of expanding an hour earlier, and are perfectly fine with the midnight start time. It's only been fans that are demanding such an expansion, just because they want more shows to premiere earlier.

I really, really, really, really really, REALLY, REALLY don't think there's anything worth reading into about that answer other than that they are keeping their expectations low. They know full well that the chances of Toonami expanding in any way are not likely and they're not making a big fuss about it nor they do they find it necessary to make a big fuss about it like the rest of the internet is.

That's the thing, but the premieres in those hours are doing well enough. Adult Swim is not going to forfeit 11pm as long as their own shows do better there.

I'm glad that they're going to look into more western animated shows for the block. That should help the lineup's diversity. The reason for losing the Thundercats makes sense, but it is a bit surprising. I'm surprised that they're still working for free when they do seem to have a better budget now, but they probably want to put as much money into the block as possible. Giving IGPX a second run sounds a bit odd to me when the ratings haven't been that impressive, but maybe it's cheaper to air. I'm really surprised that they wouldn't skip the Naruto filler arcs, especially when that might hurt the ratings, but Shippuden's rights might still be unavailable once they get to that point of the series. I'm a bit disappointed about the expansion, but I'm not too surprised either.

Well it's not like there's a Bandai Entertainment in American anymore to renew E7 for another run, anyway.

It's always been "that's a long time to think about. give us a few more years." The way I see it, if Shippuden is available, perhaps they won't air that filler simply so they can air Shippuden earlier. It wouldn't be that different than them skipping 206 episode of One Piece.

That's true. If the rights to Shippuden are available, they could just skip the filler arc. The audience wouldn't miss much from what I've heard.

Like Ishtar mentioned, there isn't a Bandai Entertainment in America to renew the rights even if they wanted to keep it. They might be more interested in getting AO at some point anyway.

I don't really like Sasuke or Sakura and there's little of them in the filler. I actually prefer his interactions with other squad members over his own.
