Viz Media Adds JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood - News - Anime News Network Hints of news at AX... Could it be they've licensed the anime? After pulling off the impossible with Sailor Moon I wouldn't put it past Viz to do the same again. I guess if T&B and Final Act are really lost causes for Toonami (shame about the former), then Jojos would be great to see when Bleach ends.

I still think Final Act will air on Toonami at some point (It's InuYasha, and we all saw how well overplayed 10 year old reruns of that did). But I have high hopes that JoJo's will be Bleach's replacement. It'd be great if that turns out to be the case and they announce it at Anime Expo.

Hmm. Let's see. Barring no breaks, SBT will finish it's run early July 20th, so Bebop could be back the next week, but if it's the HD as mentioned prior, I wouldn't want to give it 5:30am, so it may be safe to assume some shows will get bumped down later. I'd still like to see it (HD) at 3:30am. Not too early, and fair enough for the new tapes. Most everything goes up 30m maybe except SW:TCW which does very well at 5am. FMA:BH to 4am, Naruto to 4:30am, then end with SW:TCW and Samurai Jack from 5-6am. Jack to me would be a nice nod to end the night. We'll see how it goes though. If Bebop's not new tapes, then I'd say give it 4am, FMA at 4:30 and Jack at 5:30am, keeping Naruto at 3:30.

I look forward to its return either way. Been a long time I've watched all 26 in order. This'll be my chance.

At the time Bebop was mentioned as coming back alongside the DBZ Kai news, the word was they wouldn't have the HD remasters for Bebop right away. Not sure when they will honestly, a recent episode of the ANNCast with the FUNimation people revealed that they were actually *still* awaiting most materials for the various pickups of Sunrise anime that they pulled off last summer. Maybe after one more complete run, that will be ready...here's hoping.

I'm not too surprised by that. Given how long Bebop has been on the air, I imagine that a lot of people would be upset whenever it's taken off. If they're able to put the series on Adult Swim's On Demand section, I might check it out. I've only seen bits of the series before.

Hm... hard to call for now since FUNimation owns it and not sure if it is the same tapes over the years. If they are, then I'd say 'no', otherwise if we do hear it, then we know they got a new tape. Something like "damn" replaced it in places. I'd imagine with the eventual new tapes, all s-bombs not heard before will be heard.

I could see [as] using the same tapes for Cowboy Bebop that they have used over the years. After all, they did that for Eureka Seven.

I don't think FUNimation has new tapes to give them yet. Sunrise looks to be taking their time getting those materials to FUNimation.

I think they'll pair Bebop and Clone Wars 4:30-5:30 and move Jack to 5:30 when SBT ends.

They may feel inclined to try ending the block with The Clone Wars if they have deduced that nothing holds TCW particularly well. I'd prefer that myself and I think it would pan out better than having Jack at 5:30.

Meanwhile, it's still been months since Toonami got another rebrand, and we still have the same banner on top of the board. I don't mean to hassle people, but what's the holdup here? Last time, we had a new banner within weeks.

I was just thinking of how the banner for this section could use an update a couple of days ago. If anyone wants to make one, you're more than welcome to it.

Oh yeah. I forgot that was made. I'd suggest removing Samurai Jack and putting a character from Attack on Titan instead, but otherwise, that would be good for a new section banner.

I haven't seen it in full, but I did see a scene from one episode that'd need censoring.
