If the schedule holds, that's as close enough to a schedule change I'd thought.

No Bebop in HD means 4:30am is good enough, and my thought to Jack at 5:30 would be realized with SBT having run all 20.

Again if it holds, Black Lagoon and Batman switching is the iffy one. Who knows though, if this helps the lineup, then good.

Given how well Beware the Batman and Black Lagoon have been doing in ratings, I could totally see them switching timeslots. I think that Beware the Batman should be getting to the episodes that haven't aired yet by that point too, so that could be another reason why they'd want to give it a slightly earlier timeslot.

I have 0% of CN knowledge when it comes to action shows. To keep it short, I had no idea that only just 11 of the 26 have aired in this country. So it swapping with an anime that'd been out on DVD a # of years to air fresh to the US episodes is a favored move IMO.

I'm glad they're bumping it up, even if it is at the expense of Black Lagoon. It should be celebrated that this is the first time a western animated show has had its premieres on Toonami since 2007, despite the circumstances that led this to happen.

It could also prove to have even better ratings once they get into U.S. premiere episodes and it could help to give Black Lagoon a bit of a boost in ratings as well. Plus, the fact that they're airing premieres of a western animated series is a pretty big deal and should get a better timeslot as a result.

Less than a month after this schedule change, Blue Exorcist will end. I was kind of thinking they'd move Batman then instead swapping it and Black Lagoon but Lagoon has been falling behind Beware the Batman, Naruto and sometimes even Fullmetal Alchemist among other shows so the only thing surprising about this move is they're doing it when there is only 6 episodes left of Lagoon. Oh well.

I figured Bebop would return to 4:30, it does fine there. Moving to 5:30 may help Samurai Jack.

Seems like they will scale back on the amount of premieres when Black Lagoon ends, possibly subbing in FLCL for 6 weeks before 3AM becomes Space Dandy's rerun slot or something. They'll still have 7 premieres until November if Blue Exorcist and Space Dandy's slots go to other premieres. Kind of stinks for whatever Aniplex show might replace Blue if it has to start at 2AM but then again SAO did fine there.

Jason DeMarco answered some questions regarding Toonami on Twitter yesterday. Here are some highlights:

- King Star King will not air during Daylight Saving Time again.
- It's not decided if Black Lagoon will move down to 3am.
- Black Lagoon keeps its full opening and ending because they cannot re-edit the masters without a "high degree of cost."
- Naruto: Shippuden will get a promo if and when they have time.
- It's undecided what Dragon Ball Z Kai will replace.
- They're already looking at replacements for Blue Exorcist and Black Lagoon.
- They don't have much time for "arc promos," especially at the cost of new show promos, game reviews, and other content.
- No plans to bring back InuYasha currently.
- Space Dandy will get episode promos when new episodes return and Attack on Titan will continue to get them as well.
- Dragon Ball Z Kai will start from the beginning.
- It was not challenging to get Black Lagoon approved by the network.
- It's an "open question" as to whether or not Beware the Batman makes it easier to acquire other DC shows.

Industry Guests Present English Dub Premiere of Jojo

Not only is a Jojo dub confirmed now, but it's apparently far enough along that they're debuting it at Anime Expo. It's a VERY safe bet that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is now a realistic possibility for either this fall or early next year.

I figured that they'd start DBZ Kai from the beginning. Since it's there to appeal to those who really wanted DBZ on the lineup, might as well just start from the beginning. I hope that they'll have good replacements for Blue Exorcist and Black Lagoon.

Some I might have to give a rebuttal. Escaflowne's probably too old, Unbreakable Machine-Doll's a little too recent, Soul Eater NOT is more K-On than Soul Eater, Ikki Tousen would require asking Media Blasters just for a complete broadcast (and we all know how they've been dong these days...), and as for Kaze no Stigma, Ayano alone would probably test the audience's patience too much (at least, she tested mine enough to abandon the whole dang show after just two episodes).

Or maybe if they wanted to troll the audience, they could just play Master of Martial Hearts or Save Me! Lollipop.

Yeah, by this fall there could be enough episodes in the can to give Stardust Crusaders a good run. This is definitely a strong new challenger for prospective Toonami programs, I recently caught up on this and it's pretty awesome. "Bizarre Adventure" is truth in advertising, the action is more about tactics and badassery than power levels, and the show kind of knows its weird and doesn't take itself *too* seriously. It has this strangely amusing thing going where captions actually manifest on the screen, which combined with the art style kind of makes it come off like a comic book come to life. BAM!

Yeah, I want it. A lot.

Personally, I just want the same anime titles on the line-up from Funimation that I've been hoping for since the block started:

- Nabari no Ou
- Sengoku Basara
- Birdy the Mighty: Decode
- Darker than Black
- Claymore (that's right! That show! I don't care what people thought of the ending! Didn't really bother me)

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. If the dub is far enough in and they're able to deal with some of the content, then I'd imagined that they'd try to get that show on the lineup after how much it has been requested. I'd check it out if it does get on the block. I'm not sure what I'd want from Aniplex aside from Madoka.

I've seen Shakugan no Shana and I liked it, so I wouldn't mind seeing that on the block. I have mixed feelings on the other two seasons, but I thought that the first season was the best one. I'm not sure if I'd want them to air Eureka Seven: AO since I didn't care that much for the original series and I was already confused after watching the first episode On Demand awhile ago. But I might give it a shot if they did decide to air it.

Oddly enough, one series that's always been in the back of my mind whenever speculation for new shows for the block came up has been Kaze no Stigma. It's not so much because I think that the series is good or that I enjoyed it, but because I always thought it would be one of the older titles that they could get at a pretty cheap price from Funimation. It would fit on the block and I'd probably watch it again if it ever did land on the lineup, but they could definitely do a lot better. I've seen the whole series via On Demand and Ayano is painfully annoying and unlikable even after the first two episodes. I also did not care for the show pushing a relationship between Ayano and Kazuma since they had no romantic chemistry and they were both pretty annoying characters on their own.

As for shows to replace Black Lagoon, I wouldn't mind either Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple or Code Geass taking it spot. Kenichi is a pretty enjoyable action/comedy series, even though the fanservice always annoyed me, so it would be something more light-hearted for the block. I'm also just curious to check out Code Geass and while it already aired on Adult Swim years ago, I don't think it would be too bad to air it again on Toonami.

The announcement of a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusader is a surprising development. I thought that there was a good possibility of that happening due to the Viz saying that they had more news for Anime Expo about Jojo, but that's still a surprise. Considering that it was already requested pretty heavily beforehand, I think that there is a good chance of this getting on the lineup at some point. I'd be willing to check it out if they did that.

I love Eureka 7 to this day and would still defend some arguments against it. And yet even I can live without Astral Ocean on Toonami. I can totally see it on the block the way I can see Sword art Online 2 on the block. But that doesn't mean I want it there.

to replace black lagoon i would love for the funimation show to be either gantz, aesthetica of a rogue hero, eureka seven ao, highschool dxd, guyver the biooboosted armor, rosario vampire, gungrave or maken-ki.

to replace blue exorcist i would love the aniplex show to be fate/zero, magi, or kill la kill.

to replace bleach i would love for the viz show to be buso renkin, accel world, inuyasha the final act, blood lad, zetman, or tiger and bunny.

i'm not sure about dbz kai's timeslot. i can see it replacing space dandy after season 2 ends or airing at 3 am. i would like it to air at 11:00 but don't see a toonami extension happening anytime soon. but since its dbz it doesn't really matter what time it airs the ratings are pretty much guaranteed to be good.

i kinda want to see some older adult swim and toonami shows return such as death note, zatch bell, samurai champloo in hd, yu yu hakusho in hd, kenshin, .hack//sign and tenchi muyo but its unlikely.

I forgot that Aniplex has Fate/Zero. I've heard good things about it and I'm curious to check it out, so I'd be fine if that replaced Blue Exorcist.

I don't know if it will replace Bleach, but I'd imagine that at least Finale Act could air on the block at some point after how long the original Inuyasha series was on Adult Swim.

I doubt that DBZ Kai would be put at 3AM. I'd be personally okay with that, but they'll probably give it a good timeslot due to how popular it is, how it was one of the biggest hits on the original Toonami and the fact that it's been so heavily requested. I think that people have requested it since around the time the block started again. They'll probably give Space Dandy's second season a rerun slot after they finished airing it, so it might not leave the block. I could see it getting a time slot within the first hour or so of the block. It really depends on what show it is replacing and when it actually starts.

I'd love it if they aired Trigun too. I don't think that Zatch Bell would fit on the lineup and I'm pretty sure that Viz Media doesn't hold the license for it anymore.

ditto. i always wanted to check it out based off reviews but the sets cost too much. i believe aniplex put it up online but i'm not big on subs. if its not the show that replaces exorcist i hope it airs on toonami eventually.

i forgot all about the durarara season two announcement. hopefully that airs on toonami too if it gets dubbed. i wouldn't mind a rearing of season one if that happens.

im also wondering if they could be considering high school dxd (the edited broadcast version) as well since it has 1 season already dubbed, a 2nd season being dubbed as we speak for a release next year, and a 3rd season to start airing in japan next year as well... while it starts off fan service heavy, it does get into action toward the ends of each season.
